    All good advice here , have you tried switching it around and checking if you are able to control better than T05 than FX . Somehow, I feel the ball better with harder sponges , with FX it seems the feeling is kind of muffled .... I would suggest you give that a shot for a while before deciding...

    There are multiple threads in the forum on how to seal the blades before putting rubber. I fyou are bothered about the damages, I suggest before you put the rubbers you seal it .. it will guard against any further damage which is expected with water based glue
