  1. Genesis S

Review by 'P1ngP0ng3r' on item 'Genesis S'

Tested Genesis S 2.0mm on Stiga Infinity and Stiga Celero for 6 sessions of 2-2,5 hr. Some reviewers mention the slight tackiness , but to be honest, I didn't notice this at all. This rubber is promoted as a CHN/EUR rubber, but it didn't feel that way to me. I even prefer prefer soft rubbers...
  2. New blade Stiga - Artic Wood 2017

Really like the looks of this blade!! Wondering about the characteristics of this blade.
  3. Advice needed: FH rubber

I'm afraid the Coppa JO Gold is a bit too hard for me. Just read some reviews and it sure sounds as an interesting rubber. Friend suggested Rakza 7 Soft. I'll continue checking out some reviews and try to compare these 2 rubbers. Thanks for the suggestions!
  4. Advice needed: FH rubber

@Airoc, thanks for the suggestion. Fully understand there will be a trade off and that's okay. I will check some reviews of the FX-S.
  5. Advice needed: FH rubber

Hi all, I need some advice and hope someone can help me out :) I'm a 2 wing looper and my game is controlled offensive, relying more on spin and placement rather than speed. Playing TT for over 25 years and currently at a decent regional level. Recently I'm using WSC JO Shape and I like...
  6. stiga's new blade - celero wood

Finally Stiga added the Celero to their website: http://stigatabletennis.com/en/products/celero-wood/ Compared to Infinity, the Celero is offering some speed in favor of control. Celero is also less stiff compared to Infinity. Celero Infinity Control 74 70 Speed 95 100 Veneer...
  7. New rubber from yasaka. Shining Dragon

Thx for the update v100ev. Still have some doubts on this rubber. Wondering how such rubbers (Shining Dragon, Stiga Genesis, etc) would play on a WSC for example.
  8. My new baby!

Have fun playing with. Let us know how it plays :)
  9. New rubber from yasaka. Shining Dragon

Fire Fall FC is definately not OFF++. I own this blade and it's OFF at the most.
  10. Review of the STIGA Genesis Rubber

Could someone please compare the Genesis to Acuda P2 in terms of spin, speed, controll and throw? Thanks!
  11. stiga's new blade - celero wood

I'm also very curious how the Celero will perform compared to Infinity VPS. Although this blade should be available as of this month, there is no information or specifications of this blade on Stiga's website. :(
  12. New rubber from yasaka. Shining Dragon

Thanks for your first impressions v100ev. Soft topsheet and hard sponge reminds me of Adidas P7, which I really liked. Although it seems that the P7 generates a lot more spin (compared to your first impression of the Shining Dragon that is.)
  13. The Jab Serve

Thanks for this video. If you are planning to make more tutorial video's, perhaps you can create some parts in slowmotion. That way the swing of your arm and the position of the blade is more clear. I'm playing for almost 30 years (at a decent regional level), but you're never too old (or too...
  14. New rubber from yasaka. Shining Dragon

Or just click on "Svenska" in the top right and select English ;) Ouch......almost 58 EUR is a lot of money for a rubber. More expensive than Tenergy :S
  15. Match video: Thoughts please

To me it looks like there is no plan after the service. You just bring the ball (with very little to none effect) in to the game. Try variations in effect, speed and placement with your serve. After a while you will notice that x out of 10 times, your opponents return is often the same on a...
  16. What do you prefer? Chinese Rubber vs European Rubbers?

Tried chinese a couple of times, but simply can't get used to them. The ones I tried were stated as "soft", but still too hard for my liking. My FH swing looks more like chinese then euro play though. I prefer soft rubbers (or at least soft topsheet) to lift the ball and generate as much...
  17. Soft Rubber for BH?

The above responses about traning and technique are valid. Nevertheless, just answering the question: I would throw in the Rhyzm 375 in max. Soft and very spinny rubber which suits a controlled offensive play very well.
  18. Butterfly New Products 16 September 16

The IFL-ALC.S sounds interesting. OMG....design of the shoes looks terrible. As if the BTY logo isn't well known enough, they put the name (not very subtle) on top as well.
  19. New Rule Approved! Coaching Between Points 2016!

This is for sure the most bizarre and worst rule and clearly shows the incompetence of the ITTF. I expect that this rules will not be used to actually coach the player, but rather to frustrate or irritate the opponent; especially in the lower divisions.
