  1. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

If it were me, based on what you have said so far, I would focus on adjusting my technique from what you describe (older style) to the more closed face, forward motion oriented drives, topspin’s and loops - these will ultimately serve you better as you continue to improve and move forwards in...
  2. CHAIRMAN'S DEBUT! | TTD TEAM | TTDSL S2 | Ep 4

Brilliant - as always. Smiled all the way through that :)
  3. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

Have you played a Mazunov? I have two and both are around 1500hz and much much faster than my inner (and outer) ALC blades (also both 98-100g)
  4. How does Glayzer 09C compare to K3?

K3 is, in my opinion, a little easier to access the speed and a little bouncier than Dignics 09c - it also has less tackiness on the stop sheet. I preferred it to D09c. I haven't used G09c so not a direct answer to your question but may be helpful..
  5. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

A further report back on the Q quality after a few solid weeks of playing both practice drills and matches. In short, I like it very much - it's no doubt slower and less dynanic than Z2 or Tenergy, but is commensurately easier to control and certainly does not lack in speed or spin. It does feel...
  6. 90s Tables vs Recent Tables

I think it's more likely the wood used and how it may have aged - plus the very hard floor for me.
  7. 90s Tables vs Recent Tables

I play on one much older John Jaques table (also on a hard concrete floor) at one of my league match venues - it is like lightning compared to the Butterfly 25mm tables we play on at our home venue. I find it very difficult to play on the super fast older table.
  8. Dead dignics 09c ??

Second video appears to show much less difference and some of this could be attributable to blade - frequencies may be different? A re-glue is a good idea and see how it settles.
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Nice play NL - some serious FH work in there :-)

  11. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

Q quality is definitely slower than Z2 but Its not slow - I feel it‘s quite similar in feel and speed to Tibhar MK Hybrid. On my Boll ALC QQ feels safe as you say and I am probably a little bit more consistent than with Z2. I have a sheet of Q5 coming which I am interested to try on FH.
  12. Is this Rubber still usable after removing glue?

I wouldn’t worry - just use a few layers of glue to build up. Some sponge/glue combinations are prone to this.
  13. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

So I’ve played with QQ on both sides for about 8h over two days at a camp, so first/early impressions. It’s on a Bill alc (sane as my Hammond is on) It feels great, but less dynamic and slower than Z2. It’s softer for sure and feels a tad more controlled. I’m going to try my original set up...
  14. Best short push tutorial bar none

Yes, but there's a lot of detail and nuance in that video as is clear from his commentary!
  15. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

That was my thinking too - I am interested to see if they play differently as a result (as one would expect them too)
  16. Best short push tutorial bar none

Looks great but I really wish I could get the gist of what FB is saying!
  17. Mizuno Q Quality a cheap and performant tensor that matches Tenergy 05 at half price

Got my two sheets today - amazing service from TT Japan - 6 working days + a weekend and it's in the UK with no issues at all. I will be using them again for sure. Interesting that weight uncut for black is 71g and red is 66g so a difference I did not expect. Report to follow once I have tried...
