  1. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

No, there is no trials. Because mostly new players don’t have ranking so they start from scratch or players returning from break, so they start lower than they were before. I’ve come from another country so, people like me generally just play with others to determine. Mine was bit awkward.
  2. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

I’ve been also slightly similar situation, I had no idea about my level and league levels. Then one senior played with me 10-15 mins then wanted into his team, he was aiming one higher league, lucky we ended up below due to rules etc. But still my percentage is not good, I wish I had started...
  3. What the H3LL did I get myself into this time....

I couldn’t see as so negative, it will be an experience. you already know they are pro, so no need to feel bad after losing. I’ve also played couple national players in national tournament between universities, in couple points they mocked with me but it was a good experience to see ball...
  4. Is my dhs blade fake?

If you mean values in card, Other two dimensions are not head size, 1st one is thickness (the number about 5.88-5.91) 2nd one is balance point (it's different because head is a tiny bit lighter, handle is same probably, so balance points very very little differs) 3rd one is ball jump height...

  6. Pro players when they were young

Maybe you may ask from Dima himself through instagram etc. I don’t think any of us have an archive of youth footage of pro’s.
  7. Why don't Pro's just do serve that comes back to their side?

I don't think Even if you do perfectly every time, still its not feasible, easy to receive serve. this may not be the good example because ball is too high but result won't be different, this serve total advantage of receiver. the ghost serve is just for fun, impressing & mocking newbies...
  8. Why don't Pro's just do serve that comes back to their side?

Ghost serve is tend to slow, little bit higher, and easier to read (kinda obvious). And pro’s anticipate better, move earlier, so it’s not that hard to step in and hit. Also when receiver catches the ball, it’s an instant point because they can hit through to net or push back very low. Of...
  9. What are your top annoyances about assembling your own table tennis bats?

1- removing (bad) old glue from soft sponges 2- dried particles on application sponge stick on second, third layer, messing up whole. (New applicator sponge) 3- boosted rubber tends to peel up from edges 4- any imperfection of cutting
  10. HAIFU SEAMOON BOOSTER NATIONAL Y/B REVIEWS

  12. DHS H3 and all versions

😅 it could be, I’ve based on comments and price point. Thanks, yes it could be “if you can find old sticky ones, then buy, if you have money, buy more” 😬
  13. DHS H3 and all versions

There is a lot of combination (120ish) so it may be compared by each characteristic. commercial -> provincial -> national -> player etc: more quality check, more spin, more speed etc (as supposed) degree 37 -> 42 degree: as it indicated hardness, also gains weight neo vs normal : glue layer...
  14. Looking for a small handle blade

Fang Bo Carbon is slimmer than Long 5 and Long 3, which might be option if you want inner carbon. And also as I read Long 5 light is also thin handle.
  15. How does the German League do it?

I think pro players' funding is another different topic. I don't know Germany but as I see in Netherlands, majority of clubs cannot keep running without some government and municipality fund. (TT Club fees are generally cheaper than other sports). I assume Germany should be similar. At least...
  16. Timo Boll ALC + H3 3 neo provincial 39° Blue Sponge on FH and boosting before testing or after

1- TB alc + h3 would work obviously many pro using however for my personal taste it feels pretty hard when it combined, so more boosting may need for softer feeling, I prefer inner alc. 2- Yes, it's doable. of course you may want to try without boosting at first, but I think boosting before...
  17. How does the German League do it?

More Opportunity to play -> more recreational players -> more fans / audience Of course it’s more complicated than that why a sport is popular or has audience, like main stream sports, commercials, broadcasting, cooperations, side-events, celebrities, other investments etc. But core audience...
  18. New racket after a break - T05 or Dignics?

If you were happy with t05’s back then you may just use again t05, no need to jump on EJ train. Maybe for one side you can try t19. if you were using good old srivers, then I would be another story. Once you settled back, you can try newer rubbers as well. Otherwise, if you try dignics, with...
  19. Handplacement Serve

Reverse pendulum is easier when you pinch at near to edge of blade instead of around the handle. But of course there are more ways, and a lot of services.
  20. Lessons I Learned in Shanghai about Boosting and Equipment in General

Thanks, I got it. I also wonder, which is better(faster, gripper, easier etc) to play 1- 39 hardness boosted until 37 (lets say 2 time) 2- 42 hardness boosted until 37 (lets say 4)
