  1. Rasanter R45

They are on a Primorac all wood blade, I have lent this to a team mate for her to try out, but as yet I haven’t heard much back from her!!! I think she is still using her older set up. At one point i had R48 on BH and Rakza Z on FH mounted on a Donic Appelgren Dotec blade, liked both rubbers but...
  2. Rasanter R45

No white lines seen, but maybe others have more info on overall durability over a longer period of time. My rubbers usually get changed reasonably often. When I tried R48 it stayed on one bat for max 3 months, then got swapped for something else I wanted to try!! EJ shakes got to me!!!
  3. Who has tried Loki N80?

The sheets I tried, yep very similar bounce, you will have to boost it. I didn’t, so I don’t know how it plays boosted. The sponge looks virtually the same as H3Neo’s, I used N3Neo provincial unboosted as well, so both were on even ground as it were. If you don’t want to boost and want a bit...
  4. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

BTY’s H3 clone is Aibiss not D09C. D09C as far as I’m concerned is a newer version of Spin Art, or a progression of Spin Art. Others may disagree on this take on it, but Spin Art and D09C are ‘hybrid’ type rubbers - bouncy sponge, top sheet with some tackiness. When I tested Spin Art and D09C...
  5. Who has tried Loki N80?

A good quality product from Loki, For me it’s very similar to H3Neo, maybe a tad quicker, spin very similar!! bounce test similar!! tackinesss similar!!! Maybe slightly softer. If you like N3Neo, then you should like N80!!!!!
  6. British League?!!

Hi, I take it you are looking for a club within reasonable distance, from your base? You can Google ‘British League Table Tennis’ and get a few hits, probably try TTE website, they do list clubs and their player rankings. Local (ish) clubs that have some sort of representation in the British...
  7. What happened with my rubber?

Hi, From the photo I was expecting the age to be more than 8 years!!!, I don’t recognise the brand / rubber name - Kung Fu, there’s no ITTF number on it either. Maybe some of the others have seen this rubber before? The main thing is to store and protect the bat very well if you are not...
  8. What happened with my rubber?

To be honest, I don’t know, it will depend on many factors, what the ‘mix’ is of the rubber, temperature, humidity, how and where stored, exposure to sunlight etc.
  9. What happened with my rubber?

Oxidation, exposure to the atmosphere, a natural trait of rubber is that it eventually goes hard, cracks, becomes brittle etc. Bet the sponge is pretty knackered as well !!! strip it off carefully, get some new rubbers, welcome to the world of too much choice!!
  10. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

Getting back to the subject of changing from carbon back to wood how’s it going? For me, better!!! But more because the ‘speed’ of the blade is slower even though it has ‘carbon’ !!! Feel is great too!!
  11. What happened with my rubber?

Looks like it’s very old? How long have you had it?
  12. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

When I was young, oh so long ago!! I learnt to play using an all wood pre made Dunlop bat, this had reasonable Dunlop rubbers, not fast, average spin, good feel, after a couple of years I got a Tamca 5000 with Sriver on BH and Tackiness D on FH, I was still learning to play and still being...
  13. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

At the highest level, I think speed becomes more important, these guys and gals are use to playing at very fast pace, quick fire rapid close to the table exchanges etc A reduction in ball speed, gives an opponent just that little more time, the Pro’s are looking for smaller advantages to...
  14. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

As I've said in a couple of other threads, 'carbon' and the variety of different fleeces don't necessarily always mean 'more speed' So, you can have a slow defensive blade with 'carbon' and still have the wood feel with (hopefully) a larger sweet spot. And why not???? When I first saw BTY's...
  15. Does your FH rubber wear out faster than BH rubber?

If you are doing a lot of FH focused training, and also hitting harder on FH than BH, then the FH rubber will wear faster than BH. its just one of those things!!! if the rubbers are used equally, then you would expect the wear to to be similar, obviously some rubbers are more durable than others...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

For either case. looking for a coach, or wanting to take a course to become a coach, a good starting point would be Table Tennis England, they organise the courses to learn to be a coach, and they will also have lists of the accredited coaches and where they are based + clubs that have coaches etc.
  17. Recommendations needed for a blade and rubbers

Hi, Have you got any footage of you playing? would give people a much better idea of your play style and level / ability. When you said pushes and chops are the same thing, well a push is more over the table and a more limited action, a chop is a much fuller stroke away from the table, both put...
  18. Rasanter R45

Hi Chewy, Never used R42, so can't comment. I have used R48 mainly on BH, very good as far as I was concerned!! some have reported a drop off in performance from how it plays straight out of the pack, but even so still loads of spin and enough speed. Also the drop in performance is no different...
  19. Rasanter R45

I haven't used R45 that much, but I have it on an all wood Primorac with R48 as the other rubber. Both are very good rubbers, the one difference that I really noticed is the bounciness, both are bouncy, but it seemed to me at first that the R45 was harder to control on softer shots, I put this...
  20. Limba, Hinoki, Ayous or Koto?

With carbon type fleeces, and there are a few different types of fibres, combinations of fibres and weave patterns!! Different resins and adhesives, combined with the multitude of wood types and veneer thicknesses and weave orientation to to grain of the wood !!! It’s possible for skilled blade...
