  1. New Equipment 2018

Yu's blog has some interesting stuff today from a spring exhibition. Victas Dyna 7, VO>103, V>15 Stiff, TSP Super Ventus, an "adsorption sheet" (with activated carbon) to control humidity, and....Butterfly Cookies. http://world-tt.com/blog/yu/ Also, some more pictures of Stiga Nostalgic...
  2. Any opinions about andro rasanter series?(especialy durability and less effort play)

It's tough to give a definite without knowing more about how you play. If you want higher arc, slightly softer overall feel, easier openers against backspin then Omega 7 Pro is great. If you want a harder feel, more linear behavior, easier counter/driving play then R47. If you're a brush...
  3. Any opinions about andro rasanter series?(especialy durability and less effort play)

Me too, and I really liked R47 because of that I think. You might find that the arc feels low on brushy shots initially if you have a tacky rubber history, but that's true when moving from tacky to grippy in general. The key thing for me was avoiding very non-linear, high catapult rubbers and...
  4. Any opinions about andro rasanter series?(especialy durability and less effort play)

Durability is OK, average for modern ESN rubbers. The topsheet lasts well and there isn't the obvious booster drop-off you get with, say, MX-P. It's more of a steady decline. This season I mostly used R47/V42 and I replaced them around halfway through, so that's about 15 weeks of use, 6 hours...
  5. Which poly ball should you choose?

Also! I hope you're all ready to give your balls a good scrub:
  6. Which poly ball should you choose?

Ball update - 2nd March The notable thing in this update is the imminent removal (30th June 2018) of some older 40+ balls. I still see some of these being used locally at the moment so perhaps worth bearing in mind: iPong Sphere 40+ (seamless) Joola Super-P 40+ (seamed) Kingnik 40+ (seamless)...
  7. Xiom Vega Tour Review

Well, I'm all excited about this now. Many thanks!
  8. Should Paul Drinkhall get a bye into the quarter final??

To my eyes, it looks like the decision was made to piggyback on to last week's World Cup. The arena is still set up for it, the AV, streaming and PR is still in place. On paper it probably looks like an opportunity to reuse last week's infrastructure to raise the profile of the nationals. But...
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

This is a really enjoyable match. Shinozuka looks like the real deal - very clean technique.
  10. Fan Zhendong seriously defeats Ma Long?!?

With this one back in January, it was the nature of the win that surprised me. He really crushed ML here - it was an amazing performance, but I'm not sure ML was at his best.
  11. New Equipment 2018

Wow, thanks for that! I was hoping it would be a cheaper alternative to O7P, and the japanese webstores have it listed as 45 degrees in their pre-order descriptions. I'll still give it a shot when it comes out I suppose, but Xiom have thrown me again.
  12. New Equipment 2018

Oh no! I thought O7 Tour was going to be crazy-hard (55 degree sponge), but Vega Tour was 45 degrees? Any ideas on the sponge hardness?
  13. World Team Cup 2018

Considering what just happened to Drinkhall, maybe it was a tactical masterstroke.
  14. World Team Cup 2018

Harimoto turned it around in good style there. Much better final game.
  15. World Team Cup 2018

I always look forward to WCT matches. Great forum fodder.
  16. Best discount sites for buying rubbers & equipment for Europe

tt-mode have it at 45 euro, but have a decent discount scale. And if you wait long enough it might end up in their weekly offers. If you don't mind using a forum and sending PMs around, tibi over at myTT does excellent prices on ESN rubbers.
  17. JOOLA Flash 40+ vs Nittaku Premium

Joola Flash are seamless, similar to XSF or Kingnik. They bounce higher then seamed ABS balls like D40+ or NP40+ and don't feel as hard. They're very durable in general but break/shatter on sharp impacts like fast edge hits.
  18. Where to buy Omega VII pro?

TT11 have stock now too. Not cheap.
  19. Where to buy Omega VII pro?

The price is a concern. We've always been overcharged in the UK IMO, and the pound has tanked in recent years for obvious reasons. The stores are small, local places mostly run by individuals or families. They don't move enough units to reduce prices through volume. But O7 looks expensive...
