  1. Table tennis shoes, where to buy?

Yeah I have wider feet and I love my ASICS TT shoe. Was your shoe sized as wide or standard width? I try to buy wide from TT Japan and they are equivalent to a 2E width. I'm wondering if the standard ASICs would be a 1E width.
  2. Anyone tried Victas V>22 yet?

Well one year later and I've moved on from V22. I found it good for med to hard strokes but soft counter hitting was lacking. It's not bad for flicking when new but after a few weeks it lost grip. I've settle on Omega VII Guang. It's slightly tacky for flicking and loads of power when...
  3. SANWEI Target National vs DHS Hurricane III Provincial

So I'm better off getting from Aliexpress and just waiting a little longer since it's free shipping. Still don't understand how they can ship for free half way around the world.
  4. SANWEI Target National vs DHS Hurricane III Provincial

From the Sanwei website it's $50 and it's as low as $17 off of Aliexpress. Those must be fake. I wish there was some way to tell the real from fake.
  5. World #90 Iba Diaw loses to Unranked Female Opponent, Calls Cheating!

Another reason why I hate LP. You are playing the equipment and not the player. If one wins from their skill what difference if they show people the equipment? I've always felt that below 2000 they should have tournaments that separate pips players vs inverted. Above that the players would...
  6. Two new Cybershapes from Stiga (Clipper & AC)

I can't wait for another company to come out with a bigger oval shaped head. Remember the Yonex tennis racquets back 20 years ago. Now they've rounded it off and tennis racquets have all pretty much homogenized. Maybe TT will be going through this evolution now.
  7. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2023

Didn't the Chinese team have an internal competition just before this WTT? Maybe they haven't recovered from that yet. IMO Lee Sang Su used that new snap BH to continually punish FZD which surprised or threw him off rhythm. Bernie was hitting slow spinny shots for some reason CM couldn't...
  8. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2023

looks like lint from her towel.
  9. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2023

How come they never hold events in Taiwan?
  10. Rubbers are not sticking well on my blade

My blades are all sealed with polyurethane and I don't have any problems gluing down rubber. Even when boosted. I use Donic Blue. Its an excellent glue. I used to have all sorts of problems with Revolution so I switched and never looked back. I love the Donic blue so much I bought a huge 1...
  11. Rakza Z successor

I was using Victas V22 on my BH and I changed it out because I didn't like the throw angle. I thought it was a little too low for me. So if you're looking for something lower than Rakza Z then try the V22. Although K3 would be faster.
  12. For those who can't cut rubbers, STIGA presents...

I used to own a tennis racquet stringer. Changed my strings all the time.
  13. For those who can't cut rubbers, STIGA presents...

So what you do is put the rubber on some wax paper with one small edge exposed. Put the rubber on aligning that edge first. Then pull up the rest of the rubber and peel off the wax paper then put it down and everything lines up. No big deal.
  14. Advice for table tennis shoes

With 2mm soles it looks like those will wear out very quickly. I can see holes in my toes and heel.
  15. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

So they can clean up the plastic dust.
  16. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

That process looks like from the 60's or 70's with a lot of manual labor. Automation today should be much much faster and precise. I'm shocked at how much handing is still being done on mass produced items.
  17. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

we need a molding engineer to chime in. But as far as I know the dust is like corn starch on candies. They help the part release from the mold. If they brush off the dust you wouldn't need to wash the balls. It's just annoying to me and wouldn't take too much effort for the manufacturer to...
  18. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

Is humidity bad for plastic balls? I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the dust is for die release.
  19. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

They can make machines that can brush hundreds of balls at a time on a continuous basis. So the cost per ball would be negligible.
  20. Why can't they remove the dust from new balls?

So I get that when they manufacture the balls they need the dust or chalk for die release when the balls are formed. Why would it be so hard to add a process to the end of the line to brush off that dust before it ships? It would be a very simple machine with huge roller brushes that cleans up...
