  1. DNA Dragon Grip - how is it?

Coming from H3 the K3 would be faster and less sticky. I don't think you can really compare the two since the K3 is a tradeoff of tack versus speed.
  2. DNA Dragon Grip - how is it?

So now that I've played extensively with DG and K3 I can give an update. The DG was a really great rubber for about a month. When it wears the tackiness wears off first and when it goes the performance falls off a cliff. Some rubbers wear slowly and you almost can't tell. With DG the...
  3. Any xiom rubbers like Dignics 09c?

Well according to Xiom it's supposed to be tacky. But I agree it didn't feel tacky to me either.
  4. Any xiom rubbers like Dignics 09c?

Guang is a little harder but it's also slightly tacky and about the same speed as 09C. What did you find different?
  5. Any xiom rubbers like Dignics 09c?

I would say Omega VII Guang
  6. How do you keep your blade handles clean?

Varnish is designed not to absorb into the wood so it's got a coating on it. If you use sealer it penetrates the wood and doesn't leave a coating.
  7. How do you keep your blade handles clean?

Nope, there is no difference in playing characteristics, weight or feel. The only small change I've noticed is the Revolution glue doesn't stick to a sealed blade. But I just use other glues and they work fine.
  8. How do you keep your blade handles clean?

Yup, I seal my blades when new and my handles always look exactly the same as new.
  9. New Stiga DNA Hybrid rubbers

I thought DG was pretty fast already. Too bad it doesn't last very long.
  10. H3 not so tacky?

So if they changed the formulation for H3 how can you call it the same name? Shouldn't it be H4 now?
  11. I think I have enough black Dignics 09c for a while

By the time you use those up it will be like 6 generations past.
  12. Anybody Have or Seen A Good Net Post Cap Design For Longevity?

How about a barbed design that is narrower at the bottom and gets wider to the top. That way it can fit a variety of diameters and you just push it lower for wider holes and not so far for narrower holes.
  13. Rakza Z vs Golden Tango PS vs Nittaku Sieger PK50

So I've used the PK50 for about two months now and can give an update. When new the PK50 is very tacky. It will hold a ball for about a second. As it wears the tackiness goes away but slowly. The grip will slowly diminsh as the speed goes up. It doesn't drop off like Dragon Grip where one...
  14. Sanding your blade

It doesn't have to be exactly "varnish". It can be any type of sealer for wood. I just use polyurethane from Home Depot. My wood never splinters when I change rubber and helps to eliminate stains on the handle from your sweat.
  15. shoes help (don't have table tennis shoes)

I noticed a big difference when I changed from Badminton/Volleyball shoes to proper TT shoes. The badminton shoes were too stiff and the volleyball shoes were a little heavier and higher center of gravity than TT shoes. I move much quicker with TT shoes. Of course depending on your playing...
  16. Lost interest in WTT

As long as they don't make TT balls full of holes it will still be better.
  17. Lost interest in WTT

    Yes, that too.
  18. Lost interest in WTT

I agree with reducing spin but comparing rallies today to before it doesn't look like speed has changed much. At least not in my calibrated eye.
  19. Lost interest in WTT

Very true. Sadly we live in a world where attention spans are less than 30 sec and anything complicated and difficult is passed over. Another reason why baseball is declining too. Then pickleball with very little skill required is exploding. I'd rather watch paint dry then a pickleball match.
  20. Lost interest in WTT

You do realize why they changed to the larger ball??? It's supposed to make it easier for spectators to see the ball in hopes of attracting a wider audience. There wasn't anyone watching TT so ITTF had nothing to lose. I don't know the statistics before/after to know if the change helped or...
