  1. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

Not sure what this means. There has been less pressure on him for years now.
  2. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

He's a 15 year veteran, his confidence isn't fluctuating in the middle of a tournament based on whether he beats Dima in a single match or not. On that topic though, having spoken to people who know him, he has accepted his reduced role on the CNT and is at peace with enjoying the twilight years...
  3. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

You might be right but I don't think they've played recently so head to head might not give the best picture of who will win right now. LGY's form in recent months has taken a huge dip and I wouldn't even be 100% sure that he gets past LSS if he even beats Dima. Also, if Sora doesn't seemingly...

Eerland vs Miwa might be a tough watch
  5. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

Lee Sangsu at 0-1 8-10 against Lind: "alright I'm gonna win now"
  6. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

@Louisgenius You are a former Chinese provincial team member but in November 2023 you were around 1900 USATT. That must be the lowest level Chinese provincial team player I've ever seen in my life and I know a lot of them. And incredibly, a year later you were 2350 USATT. Let me guess, you were...
  7. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

Nope. All NCTTA players receive an NCTTA rating. There is no such thing as "unrated" NCTTA events. So you cannot have played NCTTA for Cornell and not received a rating.
  8. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

Not playing for the Cornell team? You do realize if you are 2350 then most people here giving you advice probably couldn't even score 3 points in a game off of you? Why are you so determined to take equipment advice from these people instead of your former provincial teammates and coach who is...
  9. Smooth handle

    Light sandpaper
  10. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

You recently estimated yourself as USATT 2300. Chinese provincial players at the U17 provincial levels would be far better than 2300. That wouldn't even be a good enough level in the US to win U17 at a regional level, in most regions. You also mentioned you are American but are only in China...
  11. WTT Feeder Otocec II-2025

Gauzy playing in Feeder...cruel world 3-0 over Tanaka
  12. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

I don't agree that the Ovtcharov is slow either but Gan is a former Chinese provincial player who has very trusted reviews on equipment. Equipment experiences can be very subjective and even high level players may not always feel the same way about the same blade or rubber.
  13. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

Kanak was not nearly at his best in the AJH match, think he could have won that if he was in form
  14. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

It is head heavy definitely. I don't agree about it being slow though.
  15. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

It is thick heavy and hard. Not super common at the amateur level but pretty popular choice with some pro and high level players.
  16. Australian players in German leagues.

Yep... And Cory Eider is a tactical genius indeed.
  17. Australian players in German leagues.

I am talking about coaching from the perspective of high level guidance and oversight and not on the table training - of course most of the latter came with high level players. Then again he may be biased in giving his dad that amount of credit lol.
  18. Australian players in German leagues.

Also much of his coaching has come from his dad who is a former Australian junior player (I forget if he was on the team or not), so he is somewhat Australian-grown. In my biased opinion he is and was better than Luu at the time of the Australian Olympic trials but Luu was better that day and...
  19. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

New York Slice and Atlanta Blazers. Slightly underwhelming announcements but they are going to get some good players as the expansion teams in the draft
