  1. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

    Would discuss this over PM
  2. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

No Princeton miracle, so it goes as expected. Bay Area will need two free agents and almost certainly lose the semi final to Carolina. Bay Chicago and Texas will all be fighting for the free agent women so expect to see Jessica Reyes Lai and Tiffany Ke to make appearances again. Carolina...
  3. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

What I was trying to say in an earlier comment but you said it better lol
  4. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Maybe in 2003 you only needed to be 2300 USATT level to reach #3 in Mexico. Maybe Heming thinks that. I don't know but I would bet not. I think this point has been discussed enough though - as I said I saw that as the way Heming talks if you watch enough of his videos rather than a serious claim...
  5. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

This seems to be the key point everyone is missing. The exact premise of the video he states at the beginning is how to beat players one or two levels higher than you...
  6. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Sure, I agree with that. But then he proceeds to totally skip over the part where he says you might not know what to do with the receive you get after serving short to FH, which is where the value would be for someone who is probably not acing people with short FH serves.
  7. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

How many simple tactics do you think a 2500 player (formerly probably a bit higher) could choose from to beat a roughly 2100 player? And how applicable and useful is that tactic to an amateur player that doesn't have Heming's skillset to execute with, who is trying to beat someone a level or two...
  8. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

A few comments: The opponent in the video was probably a much better player than 2300 when he was seriously training in his prime. 2300 doesn't reflect the level of a top player from Mexico. In this video, I don't even think he is 2300 currently but that doesn't really matter. Currently...
  9. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

They will and we are probably thinking of the same two players (well, actually 3)
  10. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Yup, they will also be able to have first picks from the top players once the full draft starts I believe, and there are some very good players already in the draft
  11. Build your perfect WTT player

It's not his backhand that gave him that name...
  12. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

With Chicago missing Lebesson, Bay Area has all but secured the second West playoff spot. Comes down to Chicago and Princeton now to join Carolina from the east. Princeton has 16 points to make up but it is possible, will probably come down to the wire.
  13. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Wonder if the Spinners will get put into the expansion draft with NY and ATL out of pity. They don't have a single player worth retaining except for Pistej who wants out, while other teams have 3-4 players worth retaining
  14. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

    Anyone notice the new look?
  15. Harimoto seen using new butterfly rubber

Less tacky than 09c, harder than T05
  16. When do you think the Timo Boll blade series will be discontinued?

Timo will surely get a "Butterfly Legend" contract like Mizutani, Schlager, Kreanga, Primorac, and Maze did. The Timo Boll ALC is still one of the most popular blades in the world among pros and amateurs. And Timo's legacy will last a long time. It'll be at least decades until the series is...
  17. Build your perfect WTT player

Harimoto 2x, including one of the most dominating displays of forehand overpowering I can remember lol
  18. Build your perfect WTT player

There are some penholders who have all time great backhands such as Wang Hao and Felix is on his way maybe as well. But Xu Xin isn't one of them lol.
  19. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Final regular season weekend this weekend. Seattle, Bay Area, Chicago and Princeton. Watch out for Seattle, with a new look to their bench, play spoiler to the other 3 teams trying to secure a playoffs spot.
  20. Build your perfect WTT player

Ma Long's lifetime record against FZD is tipped in his favor because they were at their primes in different generations and not simply because of a forehand or backhand thing. ML thoroughly dominated FZD in the early part of FZDs career before he hit his prime and while ML was still in his...
