You don't know that they answered without hesitation or how closely behind they might rate other players. While I agree with you that Ma Long has the best overall forehand because of its versatility and completeness (and not because of its power), there are other valid opinions. When Dan asked...
Can confirm, pretty much all the lower level leagues are full of this, happens on a bigger level too, I know one very high profile Asian player who threw a match a few years ago for a huge payout, obviously not going to say who
Softer but somewhat reactive blade with medium bouncy/gripping rubbers. Maybe something like a Harimoto ALC/ZLC with D05 or Nittaku Acoustic Carbon with G1
I hate to bring bad news but given the way you hit the ball (extremely thinly and softly, with zero arm acceleration), the 968 was never going to be a good fit for the way you play. Putting 09c on top of that is not helping the cause...
First round exits don't mean what they used to with the way WTT does the draws now. It is not uncommon to draw a good player in the first round, he drew WCQ first at the recent Chongqing event.
Saying his forehand power doesn't convert into results is pretty wild though....
This could be fun...
Non-CNT:
Forehand: Aruna
Backhand: Harimoto
Serves: Felix
Mentality: Duda
Feeling: Truls or Gauzy tie
Personality: Truls
Power: Hugo and Aruna tie
Celebration: Harimoto
Not sure if you can say it out loud here, but it's definitely true. Chinese fans have much less sense of personal boundaries and respect, I know several CNT players who can't stand them but can't say that out loud, there are probably many more...
There is security at all WTT events in the arena, unfortunately the freaks will oftentimes find out the players' hotel and hang out there and try to stalk them in the lobby or outside on the street.
There is value in trying new equipment and seeing what is right for you. But that value mostly comes once you have reached a certain level and have a somewhat defined way in which you play the game. A lot of people are not at that point, and based on your post, it sounds like you are not at that...
Yeah that is my experience too. That's why I made the comment, these pro answers are probably just based on recent or current players, but its a whole different question IMO if we start talking about all players from all time.
Not sure about the Spinsight or other data on this topic especially since it would be hard to measure during actual matches instead of in simulations. But I know a good amount of active WTT and/or Pan Am players and coaches and they are pretty much in consensus between Hugo or Quadri for most...
Did I imply it was that serious? Was just trying to contextualize the answers the pro players have given in that I am not sure if historical players (not ones who retired in the last year or so) like JO, Ryu, WLQ, ZJK etc. were in consideration. If these are "all time" rather than...
