This is exactly the reason I made the switch. I was also a hinoki one ply user. Mine was known as The Monster(tm): 10.5mm one ply shake hand grip custom made by Ariex.
I knew somehow, one day I might accidentally break it just like in your case. So I decided to ditch Monster(tm)...
i have a simple test to check for tackiness / stickiness.
Use the plastic sheet cover; the non sticky type.
1. Place over the rubber.
2. Flip over the blade
3. If the cover drops, then it is a non-tacky rubber ( e.g. Zyre03 )
4. If the cover does not drop, then it is a tacky or semi-tacky...
Never played with t19 nor mx-d so no comment.
s1 is different feel compared to t05 & zyre. S1 is ol'skool more linear, more do it yourself or make your own power type of rubber.
t05 is too overcompensating and this leads to a lot of mistake for unfamiliar hands.
z03 is mx-p on steroid. I love...
this is a common feature for high throw rubber. You need to close the angle more to guide / press the ball down or else, it overshoots long. It is just its characteristic

If you don't have a coach:
A) Employ one.
