  1. Time Machine: kid equipment of nowadays champions

Ok, Franziska decoded. (y) Regarding Europeans I'm curious about Anton Kallberg, Boll and Duda (he started "late" in kid age, correct?). Speaking about China, my picks would be Ma Long, WCQ, LSD
  2. Time Machine: kid equipment of nowadays champions

I would be interesting to know, at least in my opinion, which has been the developing path (in term of equipment) of our favourite champions. I don't mean last changes when they already became pro, but I'd like to focus more on equipment that followed and helped their development as pro player...
  3. WTT Contender Muscat-2026 (19- 24 January 2026)

Franziska's BH topspin down the line in full power mode is definitely a pleasure to look at. Leaves you with no more to ask, completely satisfied :)
  4. WTT Contender Muscat-2026 (19- 24 January 2026)

LSD risked a lot with Sidorenko. Russian missed couple of forehand when it counted the most, but his style will be a threat for many players in top 10-30. XP needs a good mental coach to get back at his peak, imho
  5. WTT Star Contender Doha 2026 Jan 13-18

What a match XP vs Sidorenko. Russian guy has really a great forehand, can powerloop half long ball with crazy speed
  6. Importance of the blade handle (handle grip) over the actual blade

Hope that no big brand is reading this; they could start to sell blades with no handle (same price of course ;) ) and then provide tons of different handle shape/style/dimension to glue on it. A "handle kit" with 2 piece of perfectly carved wood and a dedicated performance glue: YOUR best grip...
  7. Importance of the blade handle (handle grip) over the actual blade

Sharing my opinion on this one with 3 blade experience. I have small hands. Clipper FL: Clipper-like flare handles suit me really well; grip feeling is loose enough to have relaxed wrist (BH loop) and feels solid on hard forehand shots with firm wrist. I tried also a Korbel and feeling is...
  8. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Yes it is. I thought this new kind of rubbers (tacky topsheet + hard sponge) were designed on carbon/fiber blade as it is the pro's trend. But maybe on a slower blade they are more "amateur friendly" I can't imagine how much demanding would be a D09c on a carbon blade....
  9. Short review of Glayzer 09c

To be honest the feeling with Clipper was not bad, just different. You have to get used to, but in the end I found the way to do all my shot-range. With carbon blade I could only perform 6/7 powerloop in a row and then, at first one a bit tired, ball went always into the net. In a match, on...
  10. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Keeping alive this thread with a new question/opinion. I tried a used (but still good, grip was ok) Glayzer 09c max on my FH. I'm no high level player, but my FH is decent: I can feel what I'm doing right or wrong, choose different kind of top spin, modulate arc, etc.... Tried it with a 90g...
  11. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

Yes, hard to go full throttle for so many sets. Great match though
  12. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

Speed and placement by Odo today is way over expectations. Hard work for Kuai Man!
  13. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

We'll have a decider, Sora is dropping the 4th Edit: here we are :)
  14. WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025, 12/10-14

WCQ really under pressure. Not his best day, but he's managing difficult situations in a great way. Let's see how it goes
  15. ITTF Mixed Team World Cup 2025, Chengdu, 11/30-12/7

By the way, I find this team event formula really enjoyable. Every set counts, players are encouraged to not let away points even in difficult matches. Seems more "team oriented" than just adding points for won matches (regardless of sets won/lost). Hope that Italian federation will test this...
  16. Almas Centaur +Carbon

anyone knows or can guess what wood is in there? Outer ply is crazy thick compared to my BSS1 :D
  17. Almas Centaur +Carbon

Here below actual pics of mine
  18. Almas Centaur +Carbon

Hello, I opened this thread to check if anyone has ever owned/played an Almas blade as I can't find much info on web. My parents bought it as a gift in 1994 during a youth tournament in northern Italy. There was this "Eastern" coach (I remember someone said Russian, but it could have been...
  19. ITTF World Youth Championships 2025, Cluj Napoca, 11/23-30

Faso is clearly the team leader. But Trevisan played a lot of good matches trough the championship, a step higher than his usual in tactics. I am very impressed by his improving.
  20. ITTF World Youth Championships 2025, Cluj Napoca, 11/23-30

ITA 1:0 TPE Superb Trevisan gameplan. Stay tuned!
