  1. What to focus on, to generate lots of spin in pendeulum serve

Fast, brush, and different contact points / timing, for different spin, ie side /backspin, side & side/topspin. Bat angle / path of swing etc also make a difference. Some players use an out to in swing, contacting more of the back of the ball, some more parallel to the near side of the ball. it...
  2. Questions regarding rubbers' durability.

Does or has anyone tried using the little silica bags you get with cameras etc, usually goes in the case to help keep moisture levels down?? I was just wondering if these could be useful if you store a spare bat in a case for a few months?? or whether they would be unsuitable??
  3. Blade upgrade recommendation

Nittaku Acoustic or even the Acoustic Inner Carbon may be a good option, the Acoustic is fast enough and has great feel, the Inner Carbon version is a little quicker but still retains that ‘woody’ feel. There is also the option for std FL handle or Large FL handle depending on your hand size...
  4. CCBladecraft: Blademaker Challenge

And there was me thinking that the blade had already been named!!! ‘Dam Excellent’ or caution ‘Dangerous Equipment’ maybe ‘Damage Execution’ 😀😀!!!!
  5. Rubber Cement removal from a blade

If you can get revolution No3 glue, try that glue, a couple of coats on both blade and rubber. Go for the normal viscosity. Usually, when you remove the rubber, the blade ends up glue free with all glue on the rubber, this glue is pretty easy to remove from the rubber, if you get it right...

  7. Calling all EJ’s !!! List the equipment tried over the last 2yrs

Hi Gozo, let me know how the Acoustic performs with the H2N and H3, I took the un-boosted H3/Skyline 3 off of the Viscaria, currently boosting them, after which they are going on my Acoustic (all wood) 😃
  8. Calling all EJ’s !!! List the equipment tried over the last 2yrs

Update - Viscaria with the H3 etc now has Rakza Z on it !!!
  9. Viscaria with H3Neo and Skyline TG 3 neo

When I first tried H3 Neo, it was not boosted, same with H3 Nat blue sponge, they did feel hard but I think because they were mounted on All-Wood blades the ‘feel’ was different.
  10. Bounce test teaser!!!

I’ll take a closer look at the sponge of Tau II on Wednesday!!😀
  11. Viscaria with H3Neo and Skyline TG 3 neo

HI Thomas, So you wanted to know how the Viscaria played with H3 on it!! set up WAS !!! H3 Neo 2.15mm sponge mid hard, which I think is 40 degree and Skyline TG3 Neo 2.15mm sponge mid hard. Un-boosted. I tried it out yesterday and today. I had my first COVID jab on Saturday and was feeling...
  12. Bounce test teaser!!!

Hi Yogi, Spot on!! Tau II has more tackiness than D09C, RZ, Bluegrip etc but maybe about the same as GT ?dense sponge with small pores, feels pretty hard when playing, definitely more catapult than H3 etc but the TauII does play similar. Bit quicker, today I was using it on a Primorac blade, it...
  13. Relax your Grip You !! Grip Matters.

So true Der, !!! Having a nice relaxed grip and allowing thumb and index finger to control the bat is key, the other 3 fingers, in general terms, are used more for a hard grip, especially the last 2, holding a hammer for example, you try nailing in a 4inch (100mm) nail holding the hammer with...
  14. Calling all EJ’s !!! List the equipment tried over the last 2yrs

UPDATE !!!! Top down, Viscaria with H3Neo black, and Skyline 3 TG Neo red both ‘mid’ sponge which I think is 40 deg 2.15mm weight 184 grams Viscaria with T19 and T05 1.9mm sponge weight 179 grams Zhang Jike ALC with Donic Bluegrip C2 black, max sponge. Bluegrip V1 red, max sponge...
  15. Bounce test teaser!!!

Yeah, the CT and ESS stood out, you all got those right!! Closest was Passifid only 1 incorrect. HT, HT, CT, ESS, HT Rubbers were Tau 2 Bluegrip C2 H3N Tenergy 19 Rakza Z Now the Rakza Z is a few weeks old, (others brand new) and it does loose its tackiness somewhat, so it’s bounce is now...
  16. TT Rubbers Lifespan

Hi, You summed it up pretty well !!!! So the only real way of knowing how far your rubbers have deteriorated is to buy new ones and compare. Possibly get a 2nd Allround Classic and put new rubbers on it, then you’ll be able to compare directly. Having a second identical spare set up isn’t a...
  17. Bounce test teaser!!!

Hi everyone !!! So the question is which rubbers are ESN / Spring sponge grippy top sheet (ESS), which ones are ‘Hybrid’ tacky top sheet (HT) , and finally Chinese Tacky hard sponge (CT)???? numbered 1 to 5 left to right. just a bit of fun, but if you know what the rubbers are??? 😀
  18. Got Covid

Hi Yogi, Hope you get well soon!! Shame that you caught this shitty virus. It really takes everything out of you if you’re unlucky to react badly to it. Hopefully the Docs won’t try to cure your EJ addiction as well as help you recover!! looking forward to more of your reviews in the future!!
  19. Joola Golden Tango and Tango PS

GT feels harder than RZ, I would say that GT may require more sponge compression, but GT is tackier. Spin with RZ seems easier to produce spin. RZ has a higher throw angle, by a fair amount. Both are ‘hybrid’ rubber, RZ plays more towards ESN grippy rubbers, GT more like a Chinese tacky rubber...
  20. Loki Rubbers

Hi, Arthur Asia is pretty hard!! It didn’t stay on my blade for long either!!! but it’s not a ‘bad’ rubber. It performs pretty well. I also thought that the N80 is a very good alternative to the H3 rubbers, definitely worth trying!!
