  1. Forehand contact point

I'm not an expert but I think in the middle is fine but you should work on making the mark pattern smaller. I have seen some videos of pro rackets and basically it was all worn out at like a tennis ball sized spot. Easier said than done of course.
  2. Should i stay with equipment i am succesful or switch

If you mean world champion then you are right but there are plenty of 2000+ level choppers who can beat most inverted players, especially if they can forehand loop. So I wouldn't say a recreational player limits himself when he is chopping but you should be able to attack with forehand if you...
  3. My Table Tennis Channel on YouTube

Imo it helps to sand a lot in a 45 degree angle on index finger side https://ibb.co/WnDC6Rw Also maybe use a thinner round handle bat like sanwei m8 for a year until his hand is large enough. His bat is very nice but maybe that handle is still too large for him.
  4. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Is he not using any sanding on the blade? It might be more comfortable for him to use some kind of sanding, especially on the index finger side. https://youtu.be/wZ8Ncpkg8EY
  5. How to play against "wall" player?

I think it is important to vary your amount of spin so blocker has to adjust his blade angle, so fast and slow loops interchanged which can cause him to make errors in his blade angle and miss. If you always play the same loop he always can use the same blade angle which makes it easier.
  6. Talking big.

Maybe you can be Galileo Galilei and wake up the table tennis world from medival age of knowing nothing:). But make sure the inquisition doesn't get you and burns you at stake:)
  7. The best height for a male table tennis player

Put something under the posts the table is standing on, maybe a 10 centimeter wood box or so. Or some bricks outdoor. I think that would be mostly interesting for older recreational players, pros of course have the fitness and health to get into a deep squat.
  8. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Wouldn't that be true for the FH gap too?
  9. The best height for a male table tennis player

But you can still bend down on a table that is 10cm higher. Even a short player like fzd bends down more than he needs and often hits balls like chest height so he could still hit balls that high and still have a good kneebend.
  10. The best height for a male table tennis player

Samsonov is like 1,90 or so and he was pretty good. I think generally too tall is a disadvantage though, especially long term since you have to bend your knees more.Btw does anyone else think that the table is too low for adult people? I think if the table was 15 cm higher it would stress back...
  11. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Would it make sense to use a rubber gap on the backhand side too for RPB? If you use "pointed" backside fingers the fingertips will touch the rubber like 3-4 cm above the handle so why not leave 1 or 2 cm of a backhand gap and save some weight? Most rpb players seem to only have a gap on fh side.
  12. FT/FS: Heavy Viscaria

I wonder if Finland is an issue here. That is definitely a nice blade but I wonder what is the cost to ship from Finland for example to central Europe.
  13. Confident when training, but s**t when playing

What does that reset thing mean? Not sure I understand that
  14. Confident when training, but s**t when playing

Sometimes I think it is really underperforming in matches due to mental issues but it could also be that in training you face lesser quality of spin, ball speed and variation (for example in a drill where you know which ball is coming).
  15. Tactics ( Asian vs Euro )

Yeah I think generally chinese players want To serve short and never push long so they can attack first.
  16. What is going on with the umpire here?

I don't think there is anything in the rulebook but you could probably complain at the tournament organization. Not sure if they have to do something but if it is really bad like an umpire who can't count correctly they might be willing to change something. At lower levels of course it is...
  17. Penhold in Europe

Jorgic beat him up pretty badly today, I can see his game being a bit limited. Still a good feature to have that good passive RPB game if you want to be a good penholder.
  18. Penhold in Europe

Just saw the Chinese penholder (ranked like 500) destroy korean top50 player an jaehyun https://youtu.be/g3czWRGcbXs Not sure if that guy has the potential to be a top guy, probably not especially since he plays forehand pips apparently but he has a very strong RPB passive game. Good rpb...
  19. Penhold in Europe

I think it is cool if you can do both but the decision making aspect of it is kinda tough. For lgl it was kinda easy as he used RPB basically just to open up and almost never to counter topspin but I guess if you use both in rallies it can be kinda tough to decide and you could make some errors...
  20. Penhold in Europe

So why didn't jpen rpb ever catch up at the world class level? Was this simply because jpen "died" (at the high performance level) before rpb really became popular so no world class jpen player ever tried it? Are there no real disadvantages of jpen rpb over cpen rpb? Why did dang change from...
