Yes I get that but with softer sponge it’s easier to do a slow loop because you engage it easier. With a hard sponge you can only use the topsheet for a slow loop.

You can hold the handle more loose with FL imho. With ST you always have to grip tight, otherwise the blade will fall out of your hand. :) With ST it's easier to twiddle though.

Just remember that you will have to change your shoes a lot more than you're used to. That special flooring is working like an eraser on the soles of your shoes. :)

there's is a list with ITTF approved flooring, maybe check the ones that are from China and not from Gerflor. I heard it's wayyy cheaper via aliexpress etc
