Well they play fine as I said but I just wonder why they are so different sounding depending on batch. Has anyone bought D40+ in the last months and can tell me what the current, "normal" version of the ball is?
There's a lot of misinformation in this thread here.
Muscles make you faster, not slower. The point where you have too much muscles for table tennis can't be achieved by doing fitness 2 times a week or so, it's just impossible. If it was so easy, why are many people not as fit looking? :)
What...
Hey there,
I got a question for you guys which have tested the D40+ balls.
The first balls I bought in the first quarter of 2017 were really good and sounded like the Nittaku Premium balls, after 2-3 months or so I ordered 72 balls from TTNPP and they play basically the same I think but the...
Do you mean Seamaster?
I'm scared that they change the rules again. Change the marketing, change the video quality and the video angle, change the team format maybe but don't change the rules of the game.
I think actually a second identical setup. I could try out some rubbers or so on my spare blade while still having my known familiar setup If I have a league match or so. Right now I can't really test out something new because it is a must for me to have a good setup available which I really like.
You always heard that it was very hard to block the topspins of the Chinese players because the ball dipped down and did not bounce up. Since the old balls, celluloid and CA, were softer, the harder sponges with their hard hits compressed those balls a lot more than the ABS balls. So maybe this...
Here Dima says that the "new balls" (right before WTTC 2017, so he means ABS because they already played with poly for years) take away some of the quality of the Chinese rubbers.
And quotes by Timo Boll from November 2017:
"Sie haben momentan große Probleme mit dem neuen Ball. Sie sagen es...
The feel of the Acoustic is already pretty great... There's not a lot that is better in that regard.
Why do you want to switch? Is the blade too fast for you? Do you lack security?
Maybe it's that way. Or maybe you just like to have less catapult on the backhand, could be either way. Harder rubbers often have less catapult effect and are easier to control in short game, perfect example is H3
Okay I can actually specify what I mean and what I can clearly see. The ABS balls lose a lot more spin when touching the table. This is clearly visible on serves. And the balls that come my way seem to have less spin but that is hard to see. But with my own serves it’s pretty obvious. CA and...
