  1. EJ dust spraying is killing off valuable TT forum contributors

Personally, i’m glad i’m done with the EJ phase. I enjoy using my mizutani zlc the most and came to accept the cons of using a rocket ship as a blade. I cant keep on buying tenergies for FH as i kill my rubber every 3 months at the latest, switched to fastarc g1 and found it to be perfect BH...
  2. Equipment help!

Rather than sponge hardness, imo it’s more important to talk about overall rubber hardness. Mx-p feels the hardest followed by rakza 7 and tenergy 05 In terms of lifetime durability, rakza 7 is generally very good followed by tenergy 05 and mxp Tenergy 05 gets chipped the easiest followed by...
  3. Rubber Advice Needed

Rozena is good if you get a good price for it. Otherwise something like Rakza 7 is also excellent as an upgrade from sriver
  4. Advice for fh rubber

Tenergy 05 is a great step up from rakza 7. Mxp is cheaper but it’s more of speed upgrade than spin
  5. advice for FH rubber please...

If you have a strong forehand power, fastarc g1 is fantastic For me it’s the one rubber that replaced tenergy 05
  6. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I have yet to try the tenergy 05 hard which i’m excited about since i left T05 for fastarc g1 due to the sponge hardness I guess i’ll wait for the D80 for my BH rubber since I felt that T05 lacks a bit of punch power but 80 feels soft at times
  7. Tenergy 05 questions

T05 is abominable in humid conditions, literally just unplayable.
  8. New Equipment

Rakza 7 with Rakza 7 soft on the backhand? Seems like a good step up from sriver to me
  9. Why is my new setup so slow? DHS 301 and Rasant.

Can't compare PG3 to H301 but I can compare my virtuoso+ blade with my innerforce ZLC which is basically the same blade with the ZLC layer taken. The innercarbon will give you more gears. On both the slower side and the faster side. There will be a lot of vibration of soft hits but on harder...
  10. Why is my new setup so slow? DHS 301 and Rasant.

H301 being an inner-carbon blade can be indeed slow. If you don't properly swing it / not putting power into it that is. It won't be as fast as the really fast carbon blade but it should be close to what a viscaria can do in terms of power. You will feel the carbon kick in when you are...
  11. Question about choosing table tennis shoes

Use baking soda, another option is to use rubbing alcohol since they kill the bacteria
  12. Should we keep the same outer layer for all our blades ?

I'd actually prefer koto with ALC for FH and limba with ZLC for BH. To me koto feels too hard for BH where you do a lot of softer hits and touch shots. Limba tend to give you more of that dwell time and softness
  13. Any suggestion for a >$50 budget blade ?

Don't ruin my appetite for kimchi by comparing it to this thread
  14. Xiom Ice Cream blades, AZX Review

Most likely this blade would cost as much as TB ZLC which i’d pay for given the uniqueness of this blade
  15. Thoughts on rubbers both FH and BH

I was actually going to recommend fastarc G1 to OP. I prefer it to the Tenergy 05 because it's doesnt have the unpredictability of T05 but still has the spin. That said my blade is a rocket and my FH swing is rocket as well so it works well for me
  16. Please recommend for me a carbon blade with all wood feeling

IMO viscaria has great feedback for looping but rather dead for pushing. Something like ZLC for the other hand is better for blocking and pushing but the looping is not as good as ALC. Have you tried using an inner carbon blades before? They can be really annoying to get used to because their...
  17. Setup for a kid just starting out.

I'd recommend a blade that's not heavy and not fast, perhaps something like yasaka sweden extra For the rubber, it sounds weird but I'd recommend getting something like rakza 7, a fast but still very much a balanced rubber. The combo should be not too fast, but not too slow as well. I don't...
  18. Butterfly announces new Sping Sponge X

Guess i’m not buying Tenergy 05 Hard
  19. Thoughts on rubbers both FH and BH

Tenergy series is a lot harder than vega pro to use for short pushes but it is faster and spinnier
