  1. JAPAN Team selection tournament

I wonder if Yoshimura will be selected given that he played 3-4 against Matsudaira who won. On the other hand, putting in Harimoto might be a good experience for him to play in the bigger stages with his seniors on team format. Japan needs to find a replacement for mizutani after all given his...
  2. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Looking at his comments I thought at least even if he's not good, he knows how to create top and backspin. I laughed my ass off when I saw the video of what seems to me a chicken swinging TT paddle. Now, I won't look down on someone who's eager to learn, in fact i've always been feeding...
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I find that the better the player, the simpler their suggestions will be when they are coaching me. The fact of the matter that archo spews more words (more like shit) than my coach who has a paralympic gold medal shows just how un-necessary they are
  4. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

People need to bear in mind that Maze ALC = Freitas ALC in terms of their wood ply. Their handle shape is also similar (at least in terms of FL) Maze somewhat retired and it makes sense for butterfly to stop using his name. But there's still a world class player that uses his blade, which for...
  5. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

Innerforce ALC is by no means a slow blade, it's definitely is as fast as TB ALC in looping. It's why I love innerforce series. You get carbon sweetspot and power with close to all-wood touch and feeling
  6. World Tour Grand Finals 2016

What happened to CCY on the 6th game??? It just looks straight out to me he doesn't even want to play the game anymore
  7. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

Viscaria is popular because of ZJK, when he got his grandslam. Before that TB ALC and TBS was praised better compared to viscaria because ML was using it I personally find TB ALC to be better than viscaria due to the handle, it's just much more comfortable and the design is better
  8. Rubber warmer by Donic

This is another aspect that people need to be wary about when warming the rubber. The process of oxidation. Heating anything is basically a process of accelerated oxidation, so you will one way or another, degrade the durability.
  9. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

Well almost no one really buys the ZJK series. Like everyone says, why use a blade that the player himself doesn't use. For apolonia, the nice thing about it is that you'll rarely find a 90g Innerforce ZLC, so it's nice to have a wider range of weight (between 82g to 93ish maybe)
  10. Rubber warmer by Donic

I'm not surprised that it performs better. It's scientifically proven that rubber does grips better when they are warmed up, hence you see in Formula 1, they always heat the tires before pitstops. In fact the tires will grip much less if you go to slow.
  11. Weight of pro blades

Well given tokyo's full blown humidity during summer, I won't be surprised it weighs 2-3 gr more during that season. But 85g is surprisingly light. My IFL ZLC with Tenergies on both sides are damn light that it takes me probably 2 session to get used to the movement of the head. Bear in mind I...
  12. Extreme excessive screaming by Harimoto

There are some people who plays better when they vent out, while some plays better when they don't. Yelling has always been one way of letting out your adrenaline. I don't mind Harimoto cho-ing every single point, but it needs to be done at the appropriate time. If you are on your 7th game or...
  13. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

Innerforce ZLC is probably the most popular "modern" blade, along with MJ ZLC Butterfly basically made a legendary blade when they released viscaria. Just imagine the blade was launched over 15 years ago and to this date, the blade along with its derivatives (TBS, TB ALC) are BTY's best...
  14. Weight of pro blades

IMO not only weight, the head-heaviness also affects whether it will strain your arm or not. A 88gr SPW with Rakza 7 gave me terrible muscle pain after practicing with it for a while. A 93g TBS with T05 feels much better in that regard
  15. Changing to short pips - Should I do it and tips.

Just a week ago, I decided to pull a trigger on RITC 802-40 short pips rubber on my BH. I thought to myself "WTH, let's just try this" and for me somewhat, short pips might makes sense. My level of play is probably a stable 1600-1650 USATT. My forte is in making good (either under or side)...
  16. Marcos Freitas using Marcos Freitas ALC

This. It's always funny seeing people say "this is enough for me" or "oh I need something better" when they could barely create proper spin on their loop or able to control their spin on pushes.
  17. Share your Racket's Photo

One of the most common pro's setup. I'm rather surprised only few TTD members use similar setup though The blade is 93g btw.
  18. Dhs Fang Bo alc

I'm actually really interested in this as well. A $60 innerforce ALC is an amazing deal
  19. Rubber for FH , Acuda Blue P1 vs Evo MX-S vs Rakza x

Rakza 7 for me is the rubber that gives the feeling it will last longer than MX-P. The topsheet on the rubber feels and smell more natural at least to the crazy boosted MX-P
  20. Changes in Table Tennis

I've seen a lot of people's reactions when me and my friends start playing or doing drills. Especially in USA, TT is just seen as a recreational sports. I've experienced this situation where the 4 of us were doing recruitment drive outdoor in front of the college's union building (it's the...
