  1. trying to put things in the right way

do you feel confident when hitting the ball with power and gets it in during the practice? If yes, then i don't think it's necessary for you to change to a slower setup. I tried slower setups but always end up going back to carbon. If you do well in practice but screw them up in matches, most...
  2. How often to change table tennis rubber?

instead of changing your FH rubber from hurricane to something else, why not change the blade instead? YEO with hurricane is good but something like TBS is even better and you still get to keep those insane short serves and pushes that will become harder to get if you switch rubber.
  3. tt_rouge needs an intervention

Well changing equipment before a tournament unless you feel much more comfortable with it immediately is generally pretty disastrous. As for the EJ problem, get Jun Mizutani Super ZLC and no blade ever makes you go 'wow' ever again (true story ;))
  4. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

I don't think kenta would use a different composition for his own blade. It might be special in a way that some of the layers are thicker and it's heavier but I don't see a point of japanese company creating a signature blade for japanese player when the japanese player don't use the same blade
  5. How often to change table tennis rubber?

For me there's no real golden rule. If you feel like the rubber performance has degraded to the point where you feel uncomfortable playing with it, it's time to change the rubber. The durability of the rubber is affected by your level of play as well. I hit 3rd ball with a crap ton of spin and...
  6. Christmas came early this year

That's why I never tell beginners to use hurricane to start with unless they tell me they are willing to stick with hurricane forever. For me switching to hurricane takes a week to get used to but switching back to tensors takes longer adjustment period and I'm already one of those people who...
  7. Pros using Stiga blade picture compilation :)

Stiga is the default brand coaches in chinese run to. In china, I think most of the coaches will tell their students to grab all-wood stiga blades and usually end up with clipper as they get better.
  8. Christmas came early this year

As far as I can remember, the 729 FX was an abomination for me. It's slow but doesn't have enough spin and there's no real feedback from the sponge itself.
  9. 4th Ball and Beyond!

A lot of beginners see the hand swing and such and didn't realize most CNTs have monstrous footwork
  10. Fh red or black ,is this a preference or a rule?

Bathe yourself with the blood of your enemies ;)
  11. The art of stomping

Is stomping on purpose a thing in the first place? I stomp on some of my serves just based on reflex and I know some others who stomp really loud and some who doesn't although I don't know if they do it on purpose or not IMO, if the stomping isn't a natural part of your serve and meant to be...
  12. Fh red or black ,is this a preference or a rule?

No, it really depends on your preference. For the professionals, all CNTs use black as their FH (due to that's the only color they provide for their hurricanes) while athletes from other countries have varying color for the FH. I prefer black because IMO it looks better and I can see the ball...
  13. am I right?

Chinese stores usually don't do refunds, they might send you a new one tho who knows
  14. Share your Racket's Photo

    Perhaps the most common high-end setup: 93g TBS / Tenergy 05 / Tenergy 64
  15. Change in setup

It's natural that you need more power for plastic balls as they're slower and less reactive to spin. As for the "designed for poly ball", it's all just marketing BS. We've seen plenty of "designed for poly ball" rubbers and blade and i've yet to found an unboosted rubber spinnier than Tenergy 05...
  16. 4th Ball and Beyond!

That 900 player must've been really gifted with excellent reflex and timing judgement. I find most of the time to counter-loop a ball the player first must be able to feel comfortable blocking it because IMO the importance of fine touch in counter-looping is usually underestimated
  17. 4th Ball and Beyond!

Forget about counter-topspin if you are below 2000. Even players around 2000-2200 at best would have 2-3 topspin to topspin exchange in a rare rally where they get to do that. Focus instead in getting better feeling in directing a block, it's your best chance to counter-attack an aggressive player.
  18. New blade help for beginner / intermediate player

If you're from grubba and you intend to get an "upgrade", IMO primorac probably won't be too different compared to grubba in terms of speed. Something like Korbel SK7 or Clipper are probably better as an "upgrade"
  19. 4th Ball and Beyond!

Having played with people with different kinds of ratings, I'd say most players' serves won't get really spinny until they're 1800+ Also, I find that plenty of people who are around 1000-1400 don't really brush the ball on pushing and the ball usually ended up pretty dead
  20. TTmode

Well i don't know whether it's a scam or not but Tenergy is indeed cheaper in Europe and Japan
