  1. Fastarc G1 slipping on slow balls?

Had the same issue with C1 which has the same topsheet.
  2. New FH Rubber (Glayzer, Fastarc G1, Omega VII Pro)

Well, perhaps just slower and on big swings than other rubbers I’m used to. More hard shots are coming back. But I would still choose Glayzer over D05 over all I think. And again the difference isn’t not big.
  3. New FH Rubber (Glayzer, Fastarc G1, Omega VII Pro)

I have a Hugo Hal with D05 one side and Glayzer the other. They are very similar. In the short game no difference at all. When hitting harder the Glayzer is, as expected, slightly softer and slower. It also have a sort of suppressed feeling that is hard to describe. Easier to land balls on the...
  4. Rubber catapult ranking

Catapult on low or high impact? Soft rubbers are bouncy and "catapulty" on low impact, hard rubbers gives an extra "catapulty" kick on high impact. Generally.
  5. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

Ok! Just wondering cause I like the Yasaka handles and been eyeing the Falck Carbon. I think the IF ALC would be about the same though? Similar thickness and composition.
  6. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

    Whats horrible about Falck Carbon?
  7. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Usually all the active swings and the "fun" game is what you describe. But when it comes to matchplay the short game, the service recievie and all those balls you have to just put on the table because you are slightly out of position are a bit harder to manage.
  8. What rubber should i consider after playing with Rozena?

Glazer and Dignics are very different from Rozena. Harder and different feel. Tenergies are a much more natural step.
  9. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

This is where long pips usually enters the room. It is always about equipment. ;)
  10. Most consistent BH rubber for opening up the game

Agree 100%. i found Rozena to be Tenergy-fast, Tenergy-bouncy but without grip. And even if you have different opinion on that the Rozena is not at all like Glayzer. If these rubbers were from different brands or if the marketing had been done differently by Butterfly no one would have...
  11. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

In Japan there seems to be more common to write (in japanese of course) "middle", "thick", "super thick" etc on the rubbers rather than specifyng the thcikness in mm. Just another way of giving the information. Probably more accurate also since there is no way all the rubbers are the exact same...
  12. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

I've played with the HALC and really like HAL. Different rubber on one side and the HALC stint was a couple of years ago (didn't master the flex and blocked into net I told myself... :)) but if my memory serves me right the HAL is slightly more head heavy. Or maybe I should say MY HAL is...
  13. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

Even though it might be the Graal of blades the HAL is slightly head heavy though. Not sure the Harimoto is less so...
  14. Flared handle sizes: Viscaria vs. FZD ALC vs. TB ALC

Oh yes, they are not unusable! :) But not really made for above average sized hands either. Ok. Small changes can make noticable differances!
  15. Flared handle sizes: Viscaria vs. FZD ALC vs. TB ALC

None of them. They are all too short for large hands. FL handle - the Viscaria (FZD has the same specs) is bigger than the TB ALC. ST handle - TB ALC is still slimmer but the squarish shape is a bit fuller to the hand so to speak.
  16. Anyone notice Fan Zhendong using red rubber on forehand

What is the short black stripe on the edge of the blade? Can’t really be regular tape since it is such a short bit, can it? Some weight perhaps?
  17. Interesting how things change - while everything stays the same

Your average will crash but on those good days... ;)
  18. Most consistent BH rubber for opening up the game

There must be loads of them. Some mentionend above. Yasaka Rakza 7, X Soft, Butterfly Tenergy 05/80/64 FX (on my encounter with Rozena I found that it had relatively low grip so I wouldn't choose that one), Xiom Vega Europe are sort of classics and I'm sure Tibhar, Donic, Andro and the rest have...
