  1. Aliexpress Singles Day Sale 2023

Anyone actually tried the Sanwei 75 inner ALC? Looks good on paper and in pictures.
  2. Does Tenergy 80 have remarkably more spin than Tenergy 64?

Nothing is "remarkably more" or "much better" between the two rubbers. Very simliar.
  3. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

I recall speculations that the Sieger PK50 is the same rubber as Joola Tango PS. Does anyone know how it really is? The Sieger is available in 1.8 and 2.0 while the GTPS only in max theses days.
  4. Cybershape Carbon

I've compared to a couple of Viscarias (one heavier than the CSC, one lighter) and I agree with you. The CSC is a faster and stiffer blade. Even if it's inner carbon it's thicker and the carbon is different. Feels harder as well.
  5. Head shape of a blade: Does it matter?

Larger head means more rubber which means heavier total and balance away from the handle.
  6. Glayzer 09c (help)

People seem to have different experiences and opinions but I'd say it is somewhere in between "classic eurojap" and "classic chinese". Hard but still somewhat bouncy. More dead and dampening than a T05 for sure. I switched back to tenergy (on BH) but I'm not winning more or less matches! :)
  7. Glayzer 09c (help)

G09c has a much harder feel than T05. The non-09c-version of Glayzer would probably be a better choice.
  8. Where can I find info about the balance point of each blade?

Would this not be dependant of the weight of the individual blade?
  9. Rakza Z and Rakza Z Extra Hard vs Golden Tango PS and Golden Tango

GTPS = chinese style sticky rubber with european style sponge Rakza Z = semi sticky half chinese-half european topsheet with semi hard, half bouncy sponge Different approach, different feeling but similiar result!
  10. Looking for a detailed difference between K3 and 09C?

Mayby I'm missing something but it says "top sheet" not "sponge".
  11. Looking for a detailed difference between K3 and 09C?

Yes, I see now "A top sheet with identical technology to that which is used in the Dignics series." (https://www.butterfly-global.com/en/product/glayzer/) That really doesn't mean anything...
  12. Looking for a detailed difference between K3 and 09C?

Isn't the Glayzer 09c topsheet supposed to be the same as Dignics 09c? Might be worth a try if it is the topsheet that activates the butterflies in your stomach.
  13. Hybrid rubbers (Euro/Jap - Chinese)

Thanks for this! Agree with what I know/hade tried. Another thing that differs is rubber weight. Some of these are great but very heavy (looking at you - Rakza Z!) which can be a deciding factor if you want to use them or not. The butterflies and some DHS (which can differ quite a lot between...
  14. Nittaku Fastarc G1 vs Butterfly Glayzer

My guess is that Glayzer is more linear than G1. All tensors have a sort of threshold where the ball just fly away.
  15. Butterfly Tenergy 05 hard forehand and Dignics 09c backhand

Pros are one thing but for us amateurs it makes sense to have easier short game on backhand and easier opener on forehand. Thus: hard bh-rubber, softer forehand-rubber.
  16. Dignics 09c vs Sanwei Target National new version vs Jupiter 3 Asia vs DHS 8-80 for FH on TB ALC blade

I like 8-80. It is very safe, linear and do-it-all. If it's too slow - hit harder! :) D09c is, of course, also a great rubber but with a harder feeling. Not as forgiving. Jupiter 3 was unplayable for me. Had to put extreme amount of effort in every stroke. Rakza Z is also an alternative. Not as...
  17. Why does Butterfly make sponges in 2.1 and 1.9mm?

The fastarcs used to have 2.0 as maximum. Think they produce G1 in 2.1 these days though. Just to mention another rubber series with relatively thin max sponge.
  18. Why does Butterfly make sponges in 2.1 and 1.9mm?

But not only choppers use 1.7. The difference between 1.7 and 1.9 is not that big and slightly more control (and yes, a little less speed) and a bit less weight benefits a lot of players. Maybe not on forehand but on backhand. But I guess they know what they are doing. At least what the make...
  19. Why does Butterfly make sponges in 2.1 and 1.9mm?

...and why are the harder sponges/newer rubbers not available in 1.7?
