  1. Has anyone tried Hurricane 9 Pink ?

The benefits is due to that is not a very fast rubber? A slower rubber is easier to use in most cases I think. I like and use the 8-80 because it is a relatively slow (but not dead) rubber. It is a good mix of softer tensors and classic chinese rubbers. A professional player might hit through...
  2. How does Glayzer 09C compare to K3?

Not the topic but imho G09C is much (MUCH!) closer to D09C - and probably K3 - than H3 Neo in all aspects. Speedwise H3 Neo is nowhere near Glayzer. At least when I use the rubbers.
  3. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

Well. I also find G09c a lot faster than most here on the forum. Speedwise to me it is in the same category as it's bigger siblings. But it is very hard compared to older rubbers and might feel strange in that sense. Softer modern rubbers are bouncier in the short-game but don't have same speed...
  4. Popularity of Inner Carbons in pro game.

I thought the trend of slightly softer inner carbon blades (instead of viscaria-variants) was a consequence of the trend of harder sponges?
  5. Hurricane 8, underrated, overlooked rubber?

Only tried unboosted. H8 is very slow and has a hard feeling. Probably made for being used with booster. 8-80 is not exactly a speed monster either but it is definitely faster than the regular one and useable out of the box. Great paired with a hard and fast blade.
  6. What Glue should I use?

DHS 15 is good in the sense that it is easy to peel off. But the rubber also looses the grip to the blade easier. Be sure to use a wide side tape....
  7. What is the difference of DHS Hurricane 8 VS Hurricane 8-80 rubber.

I use H8-80 on fh. Tried the regular H8 but did not really like the hard feeling. Had to put a lot of effort in every stroke. Bear in mind that the 8-80 is not really a speed monster either. Out of three rubbers one clearly weighed a lot more. I thought it was because it was red but reading...
  8. Dignics on a Budget?! | Glayzer vs Glayzer 09C Review

My experience - Rozena has the speed of Tenergy but spin wise it is almost like playing with a short pips rubber. The G09c is to me however a "regular modern rubber"; relatively hard sponge with a topsheet that has some stickiness. Not far of from, as I recall, D09c and other hybrids. Rozena...
  9. Is there really a difference between ESN hybrid rubbers?

Different between "generations" anyway. But I guess some of the are the same...
  10. Thicker rubbers are softer when using the same sponge material

On the other hand - the harder the sponge, the less likely you will hit through it so thickness is not needed. ;)
  11. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

Of course. I was just trying to add some nuances to the debate! :) Glayzer 09c is still pretty close to Dignics 09c in the overall scheme of things. The differences might be crucial for some though.
  12. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

Thats the thing. It is not a slow rubber. It is, sort of, like most common rubbers. Slower than some but definitely faster than some as well. But the main commets about it is that it is slow and that is not, imho, an accurate description. Also, it is definitely a hard rubber. No one can say it...
  13. Anyone have a sneak peak of Glayzer yet?

Am I the only one who finds G09c fast and hard? Coming from other "hybrids" (Rakza Z, H 8-80, Joola Tango PS...) and Fastarcs (all of them...) the G09c too me feels very hard and also quite fast. Long arc. But I guess it depends on what you are used to and how you hit the ball.
  14. Longevity of Hybrid rubbers

My experience is that the topsheet, hybrid or not, always lasts longer than the sponge when it comes to modern rubbers (with built in speed-glue effect).
  15. Does a slower blade with a Viscaria-like feeling exist?

The DHS H301 feels mostly like a slightly slower Viscaria. It is flexier though so some really hard hits/loops makes it feel a bit faster. But over all, a slightly slower blade with the simlilar feeling.
  16. Cybershape Carbon vs. Cybershape Wood?

Hear hear. The "women and children only"-move from Stiga is weird. I bet they are going to start producing bigger handles again but that does not help us right now.
  17. Dhs h8-80

Well, seems to be a few on aliexpress but a shortage pretty much everywhere else. Even on black ones. But I might miss some stores.
  18. When is a hand considered large?

The sad thing is that the Stiga handles have gotten smaller over the years and they even stopped producing the large flared one. Ten years ago they had a conical, Champ, that worked really well.
  19. Dhs h8-80

Anyone know why there seems to be a shortage of Hurricane 8-80? Particularly the red ones.
