  1. joke..

Forums are such great sources of unambiguous advice
  2. Hinoki ZLC

Hi @Haraold It's an interesting request. Most carbon-Hinoki blades tend to be off+, off++ The Nova is an interesting option in that it is a toned down Hinoki-carbon blade, although there is not much feedback out there on it yet. I have played mostly carbon Hinoki blades over the last ten...
  3. Hybrid recommendations

I have tried Tibhar K3 and MK Hybrid on my Koto outer-ply Sanwei 75 inner. Personally I found the K3 a bit hard for my liking. K3 is very spinny though; could be that it is a good rubber for a softer blade. I highly recommend the MK (I use it on forehand, but it goes equally well on the BH).

    Wanted for 'deceptive serving'
  5. joke..

No worries. My first and last attempt at political satire was a flop.

This thread should really be supported. Here's my effort:
  7. Ratings vs Overall. revspin.net Rankings

What happens if you test some specific cases? From the 3rd graph, Yasaka Rising Dragon looks like a candidate for best value for money for an attacking rubber? Is that a credible conclusion? Cheers, LLS
  8. Ratings vs Overall. revspin.net Rankings

It's an interesting idea. For me, the third graph makes most sense. I recommend rejigging the scales further to focus on the top right quadrant. That will alleviate the overlapping data.
  9. San Francisco looking for training partner.

eew I hadn't realized that's what you meant by a 'golden Viscaria'.
  10. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Touche :) Some people like Carolina Reapers, others prefer Scotch Bonnets! They're both hot!
  11. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Everyone should know that the only rating that is of any importance is 'how hot do you look in your table tennis kit?' I propose a scale 1 - 1,000,000 Scovills, where we assign a rating of 1,000,000 to Adrianna Diaz. my wife says I'm a solid 650,000. The only relevant question then becomes...
  12. WE CHALLENGED AFRICAN CHAMP QUADRI ARUNA!

Love these videos featuring professionals. This one of my favourites so far. Quadri is a dude. Lucky for @Dan , but part of me does feel a bit sad that Aruna did not put more effort into the forfeit! ;)
  13. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Personally I could never have much affinity for a blade that resembled a dong ;) (Side note: my Tibhar Shang Kun AC has this attribute, and it is not to my taste) But I have sympathy/agreement with the sentiment that having the right equipment (for you) is important. For some people food is...
  14. Improvement vs temporary feeling?

If you get a @Gozo Aruna gozo-blade the table will panic and move out of the way ;)
  15. Ariex Jaguar Cheetah 5-ply Hinoki Blade

First up, this review should have been for Jaguar Leopard blade, however the wrong product was sent by the seller. Living in NZ it is almost a necessary evil to buy online with the risk that that entails, however it's a bit disappointing. Ariex is a Taiwan manufacturer that specializes is...
  16. What are your favourite hybrid rubbers?

It's not as well defined as thagomizer!
  17. 2028 LA Olympics Predictions

Tom cruise will perform a pointless stunt that nobody outside of the USA cares about. The table tennis will be excellent. New Zealand will score a disproportionate number of gold medals
  18. Clean ball opponent vs Junky opponent

Hi @Sims agree with most of what you say. But I can see where you went wrong. Instead of recognizing weaknesses in your game and working on them, you should have maintained your cognitive dissonance and redefined the problem as 'their game is more effective but my game is more skillful' ;)
  19. Clean ball opponent vs Junky opponent

Coming up against uncles, geezers and pippies is more like going to a pizzaria, and ordering a margarita. And when it's brought to your table, you find that it's got fish on it.
