  1. (Humour) New US rubbers

If Trump's Dad had chosen a better rubber, we wouldn't be having this discussion ;)
  2. Tibhar MK FX

Hi I use Sanwei 75 inner for my blade. This is an offensive blade but not especially fast (similar to Viscaria, I believe). I started with Xiom rubbers but went to Tibhar Hybrid MK in the hope of gaining a bit more control. That was a successful experiment, both in terms of attacking game and...
  3. Difference between sticky rubbers and non-sticky rubbers

If @Andrea Jiang acquiesces, pass it on!
  4. What Blade has the best design?

I like handles that have a contrast, light-dark. And where the veneers run the length of the handle. My Favourite custom handles are: For production models, this is a bit out there, but hard to deny with the matching rubber ;)
  5. Sanwei 75 inner carbon is a great blade

I think the differences mostly stem from the weight difference (My Sanwei 75 inner is 88g. My Pro feeling is 92g) That being said, the Sanwei feels a bit harder, crispy and I think has a slightly higher frequency. Perhaps the difference is partially attributable to the fact that Pro feeling...
  6. Sanwei 75 inner carbon is a great blade

Been playing with this blade for eight months now (previously used Tmount hinioki ace and Yinhe pro feeling). Tried various Xiom rubbers that I am used to playing with (Vega X, Pro). Was looking for a way to reign it in, just a little. Tried Tibhar Hybrid MK, then K3. Moving in the right...
  7. Moral Question Here…

    Or celebrate like this:
  8. Banish long pips

Dude. You need to dumb down your serves to stop the flood of quitters resorting to LP and anti ;)
  9. DOWNFALL OF TABLE TENNIS, WHILE PICKLEBALL IS GAINING POPULARITY STEADILY.

Reminds me of a joke made by a NZ prime minister a while back when asked whether Kiwis (NZers) emigrating to Australia was a concern. He responded something like 'No, it will increase the average IQ of both countries'!
  10. Professional matches should be televised as fights

Agreed, the less gimmicky the better. My comments above were purely in jest.
  11. Professional matches should be televised as fights

Hard to imagine her stare-down being very effective though ;) Which tt player would have the most intimidating stare-down do you think?
  12. Vulnnerable Question: I'd really appreciate your help in answering this. What is the exact emotion/thing brought to you when reaching your TT goals?

Based solely on Lodro's comments in TTD (I've never met him), I would estimate that Lodro is a typical kiwi bloke that eats, roots and leaves Lodro also has a good sense of humour.
  13. Vulnnerable Question: I'd really appreciate your help in answering this. What is the exact emotion/thing brought to you when reaching your TT goals?

I have always wanted to play 1st division. The feeling you get when playing against a high-level player is why I enjoy table tennis. I love the mix of ferocious attacks (both ways) and long tactical rallies with lots of spin. Its a similar rush to riding a bicycle down a technical descent :)...
  14. joke..

Ex forum members are very objective (from tabletennis11.com)
  15. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Apparently Butterfly got wind of this discussion and their marketing department have decided to rebrand the blade as 'Scrubbers Golden Viscaria'. Only time will tell if this change will reinvigorate sales. One must admit, the leaked new graphics are quite catchy
  16. Long pips: If you can't beat them, join them

When I have impure thoughts, I go to confessional. The usual advice given is, watch some Ti Long clips on YouTube, then buy yourself a new carbon blade. Amazing how he always knows what's best for me ;) The other piece of advice is, try it, you might like it. Good luck @Kopp :)
  17. Why Table Tennis is such a pure, unique 1-of-1 sport

Not mentioned yet is the age aspect. If you're competing in an age group category, then physical fitness differences can have a large impact upon the game. Both my team-mate and I are keen cyclists; for both of us (he 70+, myself late 50s) our physical fitness can provide a significant...
