  1. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

This is FANTASTIC to hear, well done, it took me a while to understand too, I would compare it to learning how to drive car: it's not easy to be relaxed when you don't know how to drive the car and are all nervous about the gears and mirrors and traffic and stuff, this is me when I was 18, then...
  2. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Yeah for sure, not all can be seriousness and competition and growth in TT, where is the fun in that! Share your thoughts when you play it, if you can put any ball on the table hahaha
  3. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

This will not be difficult to achieve my friend, but hey, when in need, all beer is beer hahaha
  4. Hurricane 3 + protective films

Correct, you can do it, but it is advised against it by DHS themselves, I read this once in one of their official answers, can't remember where, it affects the tackiness negatively, but I cannot tell how much because I only use water which is more than enough with a TT sponge, for me I use my...
  5. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Sounds like a fast and furious setup with Zyre 03 :D You sure you can handle it? I wouldnt haha
  6. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Nice to hear your BH journey, very relevant as last week one of the more senior guys at the club came to me and mentioned he has been having tennis elbow for the last 2 weeks. When I checked his stroke, he was tensing the arm way too much from the preparation until hitting the ball. I think the...
  7. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

hahahaha in fact, im a hybrid myself ;) My wife is very dutch, from rotterdam, kan je dat niet horen dan, and I myself im very spanish, but have been living in NL for 10+ years and now NL is my home as much as Spain is :) And yes, I love cheese, the stronger the better, so that's why we live...
  8. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Yes this is my experience as well from a speed and spin standpoint after trying all different methods during the last years while I was trying to learn BH :)
  9. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Ah! This video is excellent @NextLevel thank you, I will add it now :) And thanks for the kind words, they are my favorite videos, I check daily on youtube from a lot of channels and from time to time really great videos appear, those I save and add to a playlist, now on the site :)
  10. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Yes this is very common and not bad per se, if I don't have time or for a counterloop I usually focus on arm too :)
  11. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

You see, this is the problem when you drink Heineken, all dutchies can tell you is kattenpis hahaha but let's leave the argument with hertog jan for another day outside of this forum, perfect for the community event evening ;)
  12. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Hahaha I think it's mostly up/down with use of the forearm, I guess we can add a fourth style xD Btw, for sure this up and down is not ideal for your knees and for power generation but hey if it works it works ;)
  13. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

This is a very important point and given the small timing/positioning window the BH has, often it matters more than the use of the full body at the low levels. I do find a pity to go with a faster setup because yes, the attack can be the better with worse technique but control and defense...
  14. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Yes I see this in some of our best club players, they indeed have fairly fast blades and rubbers. And indeed, as a hybrid chinese rubber player myself I agree they do require more body/hips to work :)
  15. Yasaka Rakza 7 Hard

    Interesting thanks for sharing!
  16. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

When I started playing TT, I got told that forehand and fast feet was the only thing I needed, so I did not learnt backhand correctly in the first 2 years. Then I realised that advice was wrong, specially looking at modern TT games, and starting learning how to attack on BH. But after talking...

  18. Hurricane 3 Neo (Provincial Blue Sponge, 40 degrees) is the longest living (and the best) rubber I have ever tried.

Yes same, 6 months is good enough : Hahaha I want to believe im not that sensitive, so I probably did it wrong and applied too much haha thanks and I will try again, I have made some damage to a couple DHS blades due to not varnishing before ;)
  19. Looking for a Fh Rubber

I ll send a DM and I can show in a call live what I mean about hit-brush, without this a chinese rubber doesn't work. And this is in my opinion exactly the secret. If you give a kid a normal H3N and boost if once or twice and then teach them the right technique is easy. You can easily...
