Bobrow has called Hayata the best server in the game on multiple occasions. And at that level, missing a serve is rarely if ever about just hiding.
Oh yhet 3-2, 3-5 shot was mind blowing.
I think the Champions draws and limited seeding often create tough matchups at premature stages before some players are ready to bring their full intensity. So I don't see it quite the same as beating ZYL in the semis or final of a Contender/Smash. Just my opinion of course.
I think the days of Gauzy beating Hugo are over. Togami vs Qiu for me is for Qiu because Qiu will frustrate Togamj. Calderano vs Qiu depends on whether I trust the German analytics machine over Hugo athleticism and I do, so at least we agree on the favorite.
On the women's side, Hayata was...
4/8 lol. Miwa, Dang, Shunsuke and Zhu did the right thing. Shin pleasantly outperformed, as did Hayata. Gauzy really surprised me, and I guess Peng has work to do. Well, tomorrow's picks get even harder lol...
Watching Fan Shuhan beat Sato yesterday was a breath of fresh air given how easily Sato beats the layer below the top Asians. Following it up with a victory over Kuai Man is good. Now she gets Hayata. A critical mqtch for both players.
Diaz vs Harimoto should be as predictable as expected...
The next round should be later today I think, and in it Kuo gets a chance to sweep the German National first team as he faces Dang Qiu. He has already beaten Duda and Franziska.
Gauzy doesn't care about hometown heroes. Shame on him.
Hayata survives hitting the donkey of the day at 2-2, 10-6. Can Zhu Yuling and Dima survive? PS: Yes they can.
Thats the worst loss Sabine has had since using the anti. She missed a ton of shots but her quality was also not working vs Diaz who countered a lot of her shots aggressively and messed her up with her serves. Would be nice to see if this was a fluke or not. Amazing demolition.
