  1. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Lin wins the first game by a good margin. Tomo wins 3 games by minimum margin. Such is table tennis.
  2. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Truls doesn't have the same backhand topspin. A good one but not a great one. And Truls doesnt have a lefty teammate with a strong backhand topspin either. Truls ability to disrupt arguably hurts his ability to play straight TT sometimes and sometimes that is what works.
  3. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

When Hari wins, this is the patter. He serves to get a flick to counter. But when Lin starts flicking with morr quality it becomes Russian roulette, you cant tell what is going to happen anymore. Wow a ghost push....
  4. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Hati-boy is weird. And Lin is human. If you get in, you can break anyone. Even Lin.
  5. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Tomo takes a timeout already. Interesting character... but I guess when Lin is using his best shots for counterlooping practice, he feels lost and needs solutions.
  6. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Harimoto can't return against Lin to save his life. Is there a theme about returning vs Lin or is it something else lol....
  7. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Wow. Adam Bobrow is familiar with the retire memes and conversations. Is he lurking on TTD? Or Tieba?
  8. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Not playing Wang obviously means they were not at the max level. But what was really dumb on the part of the Koreans was not try to anticipate and replicate any of the successful matchups from that match. Obviously pulling ZQH made it harder but it was something they should have thought about.
  9. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Well they have data on Feng vs Togami from TTBL and I suspect it is not good. Gotta take some risks. Even if Lin can win two, they need someone else to win one. But if Harimoto can take the first match, he will end the match immediately lol.
  10. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

They just didn't watch the matches. Anyone watching those matches and thinking those players lost on purpose should nominate them for Oscar Awards and build a documentary designed to win Best Documentary at the Oscar's as well lol.
  11. Flavien Coton equipment?

I am joking of course lol.
  12. Flavien Coton equipment?

Well maybe a modified Freitas or Mizutani then. I am kidding of course but remain skeptical.
  13. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Winter beat Hayata in 2014 lol...
  14. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Miwa playing with more arc now. That should be sufficient over the course of the match.
  15. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Han Ying might force Miwa to play for expedite if she can keep this up...
  16. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

A bit but the R40+ is not that different. The G40+ which is not longer made was another story.
  17. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Boros is targetting something. Good luck to her. Seeing the pairings Germany correctly predicted Hashimoto at #3 and Mittleham plays choppers better than Kauffmann. Not that much better but definitely better. Kaufmann is kinda atrocious at the moment even with her recent 2-3 vs Han Ying at...
  18. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

I made comments about it earlier in the thread. It is a ball that gets away from you if you use too much power and is in some ways a leveler for a less powerful player. It also is grippier than Nittaku when new. Nothing you can"t adjust to but I live where most players use Nittaku so I have...
  19. Flavien Coton equipment?

Very confident he probably plays with a modified Viscaria when all is said and done lol...
  20. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Credit to Taiwan. But the real decision point was Kallberg vs Kuo and not Sweden topping the group. Had Japan beaten France, Japan would have topped the group and Taiwan would have been 3rd. Making it sound like it was all in Sweden's hands whether they faced Taiwan is ludicrous.
