  1. Sabine Winter switches to antispin

Odo and Wang are more similar than different, a lot comes down to experience playing against such players, ability to read differences in spin and the ability to control the spin you generate so it doesn't overwhelm you when the ball is returned by the pips.
  2. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Compliment the World #1 on his serve and I will tell you the same thing, though he has actually survived TTR, Yoshimura needs to be tested....
  3. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

    Beautifully hidden too...
  4. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

I know you are a good man, I am guilty of similar things. But I have had people ask me where the unknown Sidorenko came out of to start beating top players. Of course his situation is different, and your main point is still 100% correct. You just never know how literally some of these things...
  5. Should I try Super Viscaria ?

It's a good idea but there are no free lunches in table tennis. If you think you need a bit more speed, then it is a good idea. You will also lose some control but for a faster blade, the Viscaria Super ALC is as close to the Viscaria as one can get and the control is decent. It will feel...
  6. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

No, he wasn't an absolute unknown player. The essence of your point stands since he didn't have a high senior ranking but An was Korean junior national team. Anyone on the national team of a top table tennis country is not an absolute unknown. Let's not join the likes of those who call Idesawa...
  7. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

They probably had internal trials for the last two spots and those guys you never heard of probably won. That's my best guess, but we might hear better information. BTW, haven't seen Junsung in a while...
  8. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Thanks for a correction, though it is helpful to cite direct sources since reading links to your posts bogs down the process and leads to having to deal with other things that are far less reliable such as your opinions. Nothing you have written affects the essence of my post, Odo is not going...
  9. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Joo has to have a date when here eligibility kicks in, if she did it agrer she was 18, then it is morr than 10 years but i didn't know whether she was eligible for ITTF but she might be eligible for the Olympics earlier. No one is taking on China except Japan, even 3 Shin Yubins would lose to...
  10. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Haven't seen the current team but they were Olympic bronze medallists. Shin, Joo Cheonchui, and Kim Nayeong can compete with anyone. Lee Eunhye can be tough as well and there are some other talents. I think saying it is all on Shin goes too far.
  11. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Liang Jingkun was losing to other juniors around when he was Liang Jingkunxs age. Wen has time to improve if his age is what it is as no one builds out players like the CNT does.
  12. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

The elevation didn't matter when he was winning?
  13. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

It is the JNT logjam , too many players competing for too few spots. But they are all arguably top 15 players by quality.
  14. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Japanese team selection is competitive and the trials were won by a surprising player (Rin Mende). That brought it down to Odo vs Nagasaki and the committee went with Nagasaki. And strictly speaking, this was just after Nagasaki had beaten Wang Yidi and Odo had a period of underperformance...
  15. 1. Bundesliga Women 2025/2026

Will be nice to see what Paranang did that @zeio can use to buttress his case against Winter. Will also be nice to see what Morsch did vs Itagaki.
  16. How do you pick up (collect) balls from the floor?

It is a bit overpriced in terms of materials and can be built from a badminton racket and fishing line. But it is easily the best device and without it I would not have trained as much TT as I have done over the years.
  17. R16 BRA 1-2 NOR Full-Time, FIFA World Cup 2026

Leaving aside the lack of tranalation which is for @Dan and @NDH to decide the merits of when the rules are updated, the stats simply reflect that Hayata was a late developer and the phrase "worst" is a choice based on perspective. Hirano never returned to her 2017 peak and still lacks an...
  18. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

Maybe if Hirano hadn't relaxed against Hashimoto as your expert insight noticed, then Hashimoto might have been better prepared to face Odo. I guess Hirano needed to call Odo to the meeting...
  19. WTT Contender Taiyuan-2026 (7 - 12 April 2026)

It is a normal result between these players, Odo has gotten to Mima Ito levels against choppers and Hashimoto in particular.
  20. Why do pros risk tossing the ball outside the 30 degree window?

Won't stop the physics experts from speaking confidently on the game though unfortunately.
