  1. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

Aren't these carbon blades? Hugo hates Carbon...
  2. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

This is definitely possible. The counter to that is that he has made changes to his priorities and training with a huge focus on this. I guess time will tell.
  3. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Yeah and when he got to match point, he started playing his normal tempo again. It was hilarious even me seeing it live.
  4. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

It's a great question. Maybe because Xiang Peng lost to Sora at the last event? Also I think they wanted a floater capable of beating Harimoto in an early round. Out of the list of such potential floaters, Xue Fei is probably as dangerous as it gets. But maybe they might still change the...
  5. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

Obviously, not sure if Tony was being comedic, hence Takkyu's response.
  6. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

The biggest benefit he has now is that he now longer really needs to play league to make money to live it seems. But the WTTC is next month and this is an arms race. Hugo has launched his first attack, so the next step is countermeasures. By the way, note that the French and Germans will also...
  7. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Hugo was going through a post-Olympics depression at the time. Ma Long clearly had his number but so did Wang Chuqin and Harimoto before this tournament. In fact the shock of seeing Hugo beat Harimoto led me to initially assume Harimoto missed something calling a timeout at 1-1, 8-8, when now...
  8. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

That Ma Long lost to Li Shidong who Hugo beat. We can argue this any way we choose. The ball didn't favor the CNT at Asian Champs and it didn't here either. But the seamless ball was not used at China Smash.
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Haven't posted my focus here in a while but I have stopped attending PT for my shoulder but still try to do some exercises with bands at home. I played a rated tournament on the 5th and did decently well, was seeded 3rd and got third place. I haven't been able to play a lot as I am focusing...
  10. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

    Hindsight usually has 20:10 vision.
  11. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

From what my coach used to tell me, you always felt Calderano ans Harimoto were thr best athletes on the hall whenever you watched them train. Higo just seemed too far behind in tablecraft but it definitely was there here. We woll see whether ball changes and Chinese analytics teams can change...
  12. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Timo did it in 2017 world cup. He just lost to Dima at the end unfortunately. So this is more pure.
  13. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

You guys are all laughing. I was about to go to TT11 and buy 2 of that blade. Just to boost the hype.
  14. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

It's funny that Hugo is playing with a discontinued blade. Great marketing for Xiom lol.
  15. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

What is Hugo's blade now? Is he still using his carbon less stuff? This is inspirational to EJs everywhere....
  16. Video Footage Safe Thread

While this video is not a tutorial, it has some interesting ideas related to recent conversation on backhand. We are not at the footwork or hitting hard stage.

Quite a few things have helped improve the quality of feedback. But it is all relative, and sometimes related to personality.
  18. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Agreed, the resources and execution are incredible.
  19. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

The ball is round but these things happen once in a blue moon. Is anyone picking Hugo for WTTC next month?
  20. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

I think he played mostly like this to be honest. I think that inability to call a timeout in game 1 vs Moregardh screwed him royally.
