  1. Benyamin Faraji 14 years old.

Well you never answered the question, are the Taiwanese players who beat him 14 years old? You gave evidence, you moved to different evidence without closing out your original evidence. sounds to me like you are just trying to justify an already accepted conclusion. Kind of like saying Hugo...
  2. Benyamin Faraji 14 years old.

He can lose to Taiwanese juniors, Harimoto struggled to win some internal tournaments, what did it say about his overall level? Were those juniors 14 year old? Why is he top ranked for his age if so? Looking at data is nothing without interpretation. Alexis was playing 2nd league in France...
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

95% of looping half long serves is forearm work, so if you are able to trust your use of the forearm and wrist to pick up the ball, anything is loopable. I must have shared this video before, there are others, but the forearm work is key. Getting into position helps but if you have have the...

So the funny thing (and @haggisv can confirm) is that Heming and I share a TT coach and mentor. So a lot of Heming's stuff, I am conceptually familiar with, though I play at a much lower level. I don't always agree with all of it, but that doesn't make me right, but the good stuff, I stole...

  6. Any tips on how to consistently looping backspin?

For Question #2, the reason you are not giving the ball topspin is that you are not coming over the top of the ball with your stroke. You don't need too catch and probably shouldn't catch a backspin ball at the top unless the ball is really high, but if you want to give a ball topspin...
  7. Any tips on how to consistently looping backspin?

With backspin especially truly heavy backspin, the most common mistake is people misunderstanding how inverted rubber works and hitting into the ball. Inverted is grippy and rotates the ball on impact, your goal is to make sure your swing is adjusted to the spin and make the ball rotate. This...
  8. Benyamin Faraji 14 years old.

Kiril who is supposedly middle tier is actually a top tier Asian player who would be a top tier European player. He has played well in the German league for years and gained notoriety years ago by pushing Fan Zhendong to the limit in a match. This year he beat both Dima and Dang in a team...
  9. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

I never said a higher arc means a higher speed, but I suspect you meant to say a lower arc does not mean a higher speed. I said a lower arc means a higher speed. And this is true, all other things being equal. That it is untrue if all other things are not equal goes without saying. But in...
  10. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

D80 is a faster rubber (slightly flatter trajectory) so it supports speed with shorter stroke mechanics. It is also in a related way is more direct so punching and blocking is easier. But these are all subtle things that may be slightly different from player to player. Looping with the...
  11. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

Without photos or clarity on their sources, ping Sunday is not reliable.
  12. Correct Technique for Arm on Forehand Topspin

You are allowed to smash you know, just because you call it a slap doesn't mean she isn't allowed to smash sometimes. That isn't her dominant forehand stroke though.
  13. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

Doesn't surprise me at all, I switched from Skyline 3 to D80 and it's been pretty smooth with the improved speed doing wonders for my countering and blocking game. I used to distrust the claim that Harimoto used D05 on his forehand but I am not as distrustful anymore.
  14. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

The short game I agree somewhat, but the truth is that Dignics was designed to be a ball holding series which is why many players don't like it on the forehand vs Tenergy. So you might be surprised with how controllable Dignics 80 us despite not being sticky.
  15. Best blade to have Dignics 80 on both sides?

These questions are weird to me. That said I know someone who has used D80 on both sides of a lot of inneforce blades, including the Felix Lebrun and the Harimoto blades and really likes it on those blades.
  16. Correct Technique for Arm on Forehand Topspin

Yeah but Kim is a different breed, i never thought i would see a better lefty He Zhuoja with a real chop block. I think if He Zhuoja could chop block as well as Kim, she would be on the first national team. The hitting is on the same level but the chop block as variation to stay in the point...

  19. This why I don't complain illegal serves

Here is an old Larry Hodges article that brings up one of the things that umpires tend to run away from: that the umpire is allowed to rule doubtful serves as incorrect. The rules are not the problem, the culture is the problem. Because if the culture was willing the change, the rules would...
  20. This why I don't complain illegal serves

Visibility to the receiver at the point of contact is not the current rule. Please read the current rule, and some of the umpire enforcement summaries/prescriptions. The ball should be visible throughout the serve to the receiver and nothing should obstruct the ball and the infinite upward...
