  1. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

    https://youtu.be/Wkvt68gImTU https://youtu.be/xCDzN5l5bso Maybe 2200 is too high but 2100 + for sure.
  2. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

I'm fine with whatever Bobrow does - he already does some of that and he does a lot of that for ITTF already. Without any insight into who his sponsoring his trips or his channel, and since I am not paying for it, I just want to enjoy it. Even with Dan's reviews, he could also play those pros...
  3. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

I think you confuse playing level with trouble. An adult 2200 player playing in straight forward style would have a different issue playing with these kids. But if you think Adam isn't making the kids hesitate with his style that is your prerogative. My experience playing tells me a very...
  4. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

The pros would beat just about any player at Adam's level half assed smashing and dropshotting and we see this all the time when Dan plays them in equipment reviews. That is just as repetitive and we don't hear you complain there. So this is something else. All those things you mention are...
  5. CNT's Mock Olympics

That was the most dominating performance from the dictator so far. Very impressive.
  6. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

Guys, let's remember that he is going to play more matches with Lin Yun Ju's training team and then with Lin Yun Ju at full strength. And Bobrow has many videos of his matches before he got to 2200 - he has always been a lobber/Fisher with the occasional direct loop thrown in. For me it...
  7. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

Not sure why it is a wasted opportunity. You guys are tough. This channel is a chance to see Bobrow make table tennis look fun and entertaining to even the casual viewer on some level. At least I find it entertaining. He is going to have more videos so we will get to see a lot of TT. For me...
  8. Adam Bobrow vs World no. 7 Lin Yun-Ju

It is always a bit unfair to judge a player against a pro template without knowing how he evolved and how long he has been playing. Bobrow has always played this way.
  9. CNT's Mock Olympics

It is good that the CNT has a path for him despite the clear drop in level.
  10. MOG's D09c Thread: Now Closed

Why does this thread still have this title?
  11. San Francisco looking for training partner.

When I used D09c I understood what Dima meant, you just don't have to be as precise as you have time to compensate because of the tack. With non sticky rubbers, especially the Tenergy series, the ball is long gone when you loop hard before you get the opportunity to compensate.
  12. Dusseldorf Masters 2020

Don't fall for it - it's a trap! Omar Assar lost to Duda again in another magnificently played match.
  13. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Isn't this true for any rubber, especially sticky rubber of some sort?
  14. CNT's Mock Olympics

Obviously Fan wants to win, but again, you don't know the goals Qin Zhijian set for the match. In the absence of that context, you can read too much into the results. After all, the event was so important that Ma Long did not play and Xu Xin was largely demotivated to play hard vs Xu Chenhao...
  15. CNT's Mock Olympics

These are ultimately training matches, you don't know the goals the coach set for FZD before the match and how well he scored executing them. It isn't always about winning.
  16. MOG's D09c Thread: Now Closed

I find the protector sheet a bit much but I am a bit too low rated to care about taking care of the rubber delicately. Just cleaning it with water and storing it in a case has kept it tacky enough for me.
  17. CNT's Mock Olympics

Chen Meng can't get a break.
  18. CNT's Mock Olympics

Oh I am fairly sure he is the reserve player over both Liang and Lin. I fully agree.
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I can't argue with free and I don't speak Japanese. But as Der Echte pointed out, there is a difference between someone teaching you a serve by showing the serve to you and someone teaching you a serve by taking you a process that enables you to develop a strong service action by following the...
  20. CNT's Mock Olympics

Maybe beating Hou Yingchao 13-11 in the 7th does that to you. But to be fair, Wang Chuqin is a bully, many players look terrible when they play him.
