  1. 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships

That's going a bit far. They have a good draw to the final match at the Olympic Qualification.
  2. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

They have a good draw to the last round though. Ukraine has good but beatable players and the winner of Spain and Belarus isn't unbeatable. They have to win one match that will be tough but the tougher teams are in the other half IMP.
  3. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

You will be surprised. The longer this goes on, the more dudu Korea is in.
  4. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

For some reason, everyone knows this except the coach who designed the selection process and took risks with the selection process instead of waiting for a new Olympic cycle to implement the changes.
  5. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I got a sheet of T05H for $60. I have never felt such a pure sensation of power when using any rubber. Now I don't feel so bad when good players blast the ball past me. I have to get a red sheet for my backhand and see how that works
  6. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

And in the other half of the draw. Nice catch! They had better get no other major upsets. If a Romania or a Hong Kong fell into the 9th place event, it would cause major issues. India is tough enough and Ukraine is no joke either.
  7. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Yeah because those old Portugese ladies know how to play choppers and block loopers. South Korea had better figure out whether its bench players are its best players like the trials said.
  8. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Come on, forget the ethnicity. It was great table tennis. And it seems that Madarasz is a good antithesis of Pota.
  9. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

I think Dora Madarasz is easily my favorite player to watch in table tennis. I don't know why but her topspin style of both wings just makes me excited. Especially when she leeps it up against the nasty penhold blockers. Relentless topspin for the win!
  10. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Table tennis is illogical. The transitive property doesn't work. I thought if Madarasz could beat Yu and Yu was the team #1 that Madarasz would have no problem with Yu. Assumptions are the...
  11. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Looks like Hungary without Pota are going to beat Portugal. Which puts one more dangerous team in the final elimination for Korea to deal with. This is getting interesting.
  12. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Yes, and I consider them the favorites, but this team has more question marks than a team with Jeon would have. I can't imagine that they had absolutely no other topspin player who they trusted against defence than to play Suh Hyowon against a team with probably the best female defender in the...
  13. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Well the real problem now is that they have to deal with the Netherlands (which will at least not have an injured Li Jie), Belarus, Hungary, India, France etc. They are still the favorite, but their inexperience creates question marks where a team with Jeon would have not.
  14. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Looks like Potential (Shin) just won. Now Choi has to perform a minor miracle assuming Suh can level the match.
  15. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

Hungary sweeps Belarus - I would never have predicted that - all 3-2 match scores.
  16. World Team Qualification Tournament 2020 | Tokyo Olympics

It's a bit unfair what they have forced this team into. No Jeon Jihee or Yang Haeun who know how to do this in their sleep. They should have at least let Yoo Nam Kyu coach this team. That said, PRK is the worst draw you can get on the women's side.
  17. 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships

So Shin Yubin didn't win a single match at the trials. That must be some potential.
  18. 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships

Thanks. It would be nice to know all the players since the 5 you provided did lose at times to other players.
  19. If you are a coach. What equipment would you recommend for beginners?

If the beginner is committed, Timo Boll ALC with H3 Neo or a Mark V type rubber on both sides. If the student is cheap, Yasaka Sweden Classic with a Mark V type rubber or a cheap tensor on both sides.
