  1. Feedback on my FH & BH Loop

You seem to be doing extremely well for an adult who has played only two years. I don't think that there are any game changing flaws in your technique to be honest. That you do a semi-cross/split step when hitting the forehand in practice is pretty impressive. On the backhand vs backspin, you...

Was a crazy weekend. Can't capture it in words. But let me start with the highlight and then we can go from there later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBMQcjRVvUU FIXED.
  3. Feedback on my FH & BH Loop

How long have you been playing for, BryanY?
  4. Ma Long interviews, matches and beyond

He also needs opportunities to see what happens against Harimoto. This is probably his best opportunity.
  5. Ma Long interviews, matches and beyond

Really no point in responding at length. Your view is understood and acknowledged.
  6. Qatar Open 2019

Sometimes, you have to get to know who you are talking to to get where they are coming from. If you get to know Suga D, you will understand what drives him. Sure you and others are the same. It is hard to communicate on the internet. Harder in forum posts.

Cross step, the feet actually cross. Semi cross the feet don't cross but the feeling is similar. It is like jumping and swinging into the ball all at once. You know on cross stro, you are swinging before your left foot lands. The same on semi-cross. But your left leg isn't moving so far...

If you are late to a ball you are already committing to a particular hitting wing. The issue is not what happens in drills where you know where the ball is going. The issue is what happens when you are surprised by a ball or a ball is played to your middle. If you need to move then backswing...

To be honest TTEDGE always teaches to backswing while moving and focuses on footwork which you use when you don't know where the ball is going so mostly cross and semi cross footwork.
  10. Qatar Open 2019

The WTTC and Olympics are coming, gotta get some practice in.
  11. Qatar Open 2019

Yoshimura is Oshima's team mate. Guys, you do know that teammates prepare each other for mutual opponents, right?
  12. Japan Top 12 and WTTC 2019 Trial, 3/2-3

Oshima and Yoshimura senior have kinda peaked. The main thing is to give it to someone who can actually get seriously better.
  13. Japan Top 12 and WTTC 2019 Trial, 3/2-3

Youth has volatility. Maybe Uda or Kitzikuri? Are they that much better? That is my point.

There is a video with a Canadian pro where he discusses it in both directions. He kind of confuses it but it existed as s video. By the way, TTEdge talks about the hit and move thing a lot and says it is one of those disconnects between how people actually play and how they are taught to play...
  15. Japan Top 12 and WTTC 2019 Trial, 3/2-3

Anders Lind has been playing strong in European leagues recently. I don't think this is a big deal.

Here is the play list - sorry matches are not edited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KQezAGAmzM&list=PL1xHYZmEaJtRY69kLAsGKK4sO1uTLgsAo If you want to see me play really mindlessly, watch vs A Javaheri or vs Kumar second friendly. If you want to see me lose a match I should have won, watch...

Went 3-2 as the top seed in group 2, which is a reasonable result. Lost to a father and his son, the son 0-3 in the first match. My movement to my forehand has pronounced issues, but it is good to know. It was partly because the floor at the league is very grippy, so some of my new forehand...

So today I play league for the first time in over a year and later this week, a tournament as well. Trying to kill my expectations. Just hoping for no injuries.
  19. Qatar Open 2019

Quadri goes down. Thiago played him perfectly.
  20. How to eliminate BH Grip to a neutral grip or how to switch from BH Grip to FH Grip

As was mentioned earlier, the key to a good neutral grip is to be more on the handle and less on the face of the blade. This isn't comfortable for everyone. But I'd you can keep your forefinger consistently parallel to the base of the blade it works. It also makes it easier to create...
