  1. Just Boosted H3, 1st Time

Hello TTD, I've never boosted a rubber before, but last week I applied 1 layer of booster, waited 24hrs, applied the second layer, waited 48hrs for the rubber to flatten more, then glued. The first layer didn't dome the rubber at all. It wasn't until I was applying the second layer that the...
  2. Thread about Japanese Players

I always enjoy watching Yuto Muramatsu, where is that dude playing?
  3. Steve Dainton: "We want our athletes to earn what they deserve, but..."

This is a tough one. TT is in a weird placebecause it's one of those sports that only people who play watch it here in the US, and still I know several club members that don't follow rankings, matches etc. You have to get more people playing to grow the fan base here in the US.
  4. Should I boost my SP? (Alert: Long text!!)

Holy shit, are you me? I stopped around 1999-2000 and came back in 2023ish. Do you feel you're as good as you were before?
  5. I want opinions on my chances of pro

Anything is possible. Good luck on your journey, I'll be cheering for you.
  6. Post your latest EJ purchase

Just got another sheet of baracuda. Seamoon booster yellow, never boosted a rubber before and want to try it on some old DHS rubbers
  7. DHS fans unite!

I've used hurricane 3 neo and national, but I'm too fat to use them properly lol. Would a 37 degree one be better? Penholder with no rpb, so my FH rubber is the same as BH.
  8. Did Paddle Palace Buyout Megapsin?

Just out of curiosity, did this happen? I just purchased a rubber from megaspin, but my bank account shows that the money was taken from "Paddle Palace Table Tennis"
  9. Best rubbers (only ESN/Japanese) for spinny serves

Absolutely. Whenever I think my tenergy 19 is the issue, I watch Kenta just blast FH's and BH's with it and realize it's my shoddy technique lol
  10. Butterfly Zyre 03

As I thought, it's too much rubber for my level
  11. Best rubbers (only ESN/Japanese) for spinny serves

Nothing was better than my h3 for serves but I'm too fat to handle that rubber lol Tenergy 19 works well but I may go to baracuda for a little less catapult
  12. Do you have a favorite or unique practice method?

I'll try to play and do mostly reverse pendulum serves, or just BH since mine is weird and there's very little info online. My FH stinks too lol I just have decent serves and placement since I'm penhold
  13. Quadri Aruna losing to LP

Well, he won and could have won like 11-1 each set if he wanted to.
  14. Butterfly Zyre 03

Too much rubber for my skill level
  15. How long does a blade lasts?

I've dropped my viscaria so many times when learning how to twiddle under pressure. I still drop it a couple times a year lol.
  16. "This rubber is not correct!"

As an LP player myself, I just need to rub the pips with the palm of my hand to check for grip. I know it's not scientific whatsoever, but if you've touched enough legal LP's, you know what friction vs frictionless feels like. But, who knows, the player may be just slightly altering the pips...
  17. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

Learn tpb too. So many players I've encountered aren't used to the no spin punch of tpb. Finger gap is a matter of preference, I don't use it because I need my index finger free to tpb flick under spin over the table. I don't rpb, I tried but I'm too used to tpb.
  18. Editorial: It's hard to know if an equipment change actually makes you better

I went from tacky Chinese rubber to barracuda then tenergy, and the switch to tensors made a huge improvement, especially in aggressive and passive blocking. Serve has less spin but I win more points with blocking
