  1. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

Well, I did not know that sealing a blade changed the feeling. I learn that it avoided splintering, that is why i tried to seal my blade. But then, the feeling changed significantly to me. + The surface was not sticky. I used white glue from Rev.N3 normal viscosity, and my boosted H3 (curved)...
  2. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

The vernish i used once to seal my Fang Bo B2, i followed the manufacturer process (Xiom). It changed the feeling completely.
  3. Go for Fang Bo B2X or Hurricane Long 5

Have you played with regular Bo2 ? To me it felt smiliar to the Long 5, but long 5 does it better. Flex, medium+ throw, late kick (earlier on long 5, and more kick overall), controllable, and head heavy. Relatively thin handle compared to BTY Viscaria.
  4. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

Exactly. Well, a mix of WCQ and Ma Long. I focus more on the 3rd ball 5th ball attack like WCQ, but when the point is on, I am more like Ma Long, controlling with BH to get me a ball on FH to attack. I studied a lot Ma Long recently, and it helped me improve my game a lot. Before, I was studied...
  5. Loki adc special vs dhs w968

What is spring effect ? On a rubber it makes sense, but on a blade, I am curious. Also, drier ? What do you mean ? I am not familiar with those terms for blades. I think they should have pretty similar composition, as LJK played 968 before LOKI partnership. Also, there is a tons of LJK ADC...
  6. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

My BH allways had spin. Instead, I gain stability in blocking with it. To me, the head heaviness actually helped me in BH. I have this inertia that allows me to "know" where my hand is, and add stabiliy to my shot. (More like a feeling, already hard to explain in my native language, so in...
  7. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

I agree. Many young player plays with speed. I allways played with spin (I think people who played with the old celluloid ball were spin focused). And the young player can play with massive speed both wing, boum boum each side. Those player, I play with spinny slow ball, they strugle a lot more...
  8. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

No problem on my GOlden Hurricane long 5. Top quality, no splinter. I don't know if it was sealed (I bought it 2nd hand), because it does not look like it. Feeling is amazing. So far, the best blade I had. I did play with Viscaria, I did not like. DHS blade, and handle just works amazingly well...
  9. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

I am curious about your review/comparison of the 3 top DHS blades. Don't put me in temptation lol. :o I want to settle on gear. I think what's good about H8-80 is that it is slow and controllable. In match, i would rather put a slow spinny ball on the table than net or out. I played only 2...
  10. DHS Hurricane 8-80 review: A great hybrid backhand rubber

@victormanriquey I played a bit with the H8-80 on my HL5 clone from Stuor. I putted 1 layer of Haifu National White booster on the sponge directly. Wait 24h before gluing it. It is much "faster" and "dynamic" than in my memories. Maybe the blade is for something. But Tons of control, and way...
  11. Go for Fang Bo B2X or Hurricane Long 5

B2X yes, just like Long5X is stiffer. But the only difference (outside ply quality) between the B2 and Long 5 are dimensions of the head and grip. The B2 is less extreme than the long 5. My point is, Don't buy a Fang Bo B2 for a flat hit game. It is still a blade for spin oriented game, but at...
  12. Does Hl5 need to use the hurricane 3?

There is 2. The new one red packaging (china +) and the old one Blue packaging (China VM). Vega China VM on the topsheet is the right one. Apparently the new one, with red packaging is shit. The vega china VH is nowhere to be seen. Vega China review ...
  13. Does Hl5 need to use the hurricane 3?

    I don't know Hammond Z2, so I can't compare.
  14. Go for Fang Bo B2X or Hurricane Long 5

I don't know. To me, they are both spin oriented. Just that Fang Bo B2 is a blade of transition from Allwood to Long 5. I think, you should go 5ply wood all, then 7 ply wood OFF (like PG7), then go to FB B2, then finally play Long 5. You get somewhat similar feeling with the PG7, FB B2 to Long...
  15. Go for Fang Bo B2X or Hurricane Long 5

I don't remember. I did tried to sand it, it improved it a bit.
  16. Go for Fang Bo B2X or Hurricane Long 5

Be careful with the sealant. I sealed my Fang Bo carbon (B2), and the rubber did not stick well to the blade. I had no issue with any blade, but this one I sealed. I used the xiom with the sponge on top.
  17. Does Hl5 need to use the hurricane 3?

I play with Golden HL5, and I switched from H3 neo BS boosted, to Xiom Vega China. Very similar, yet, no need to boost. Like you, I am annoyed to boost, and it last 2 weeks. With the Xiom, the speed last forever. Tacky like H3, if not better. Similar playstyle. High throw when brushing, low...
  18. Donic BlueGrip S2 Review: A Control-First Learning Hybrid Rubber

To help referencing the amazing job of victor, I comment. Allways helpful and detailed review. Thanks for it.
  19. Andro NUZN 48 Review: Faster and More Dynamic Than NUZN 45, But Still Controllable

Nuzn 48 interest me a lot. I will try again the H8-80, if I like it, I will stick to it. If not, I will try Nuzn 48. Many players in my club switched to NUZN, but mostly 50 and 55.
  20. Andro NUZN 48 Review: Faster and More Dynamic Than NUZN 45, But Still Controllable

Could interest me. In match this WE, I lost a player with lower ranking, because I was tense, and I overshoot the table a lot. Next match, I beat a player with way higher rank than me (ex number player in france). Less tense, and it was fine. So, I guess a 2 speed rubber can help in those...
