  1. Nexy Fitting Racket Order

Just received my sample racket. Very keen to give it a full practice session and match play before giving feedback for the final racket. The build quality is truly amazing. EVEN more finished than the regular Rotela (which I ended up getting two copies of due to a mix up).
  2. Should I boost my SP? (Alert: Long text!!)

The 802-40 stands for 40mm ball when we went from 38 to 40 in celluloid.
  3. Should I boost my SP? (Alert: Long text!!)

There is a precedent of short pip FH players boosting their rubber, particularly if penhold, however like Tony, I don't think you should boost a soft rubber, you'll be hitting the blade too often.
  4. Pro players using short pips on BH

This blog keeps track of pro's equipment. I've linked it to the Japanese women's pips. https://yarilog.com/equipment-japan-women/#toc4
  5. My EJ journey hasn't gotten me anywhere until I returned home

For sure, there were so many things I didn't know I was even doing wrong until my current coach watched my strokes. I'll do my best for some pointers: -Stay balanced. A well placed slower loop is significantly better than a fast one played at the expense of balance. -Slow down! You have a...
  6. My EJ journey hasn't gotten me anywhere until I returned home

I should mention that I'm no saint on the EJ front, I've essentially tried every short pimple on the market and a good 10 blades since mid 2023. And yes, I too have gone back to stuff I've played a lot with as a junior. The blade though, inner carbon that plays linearly is far far superior to...
  7. My EJ journey hasn't gotten me anywhere until I returned home

I honestly think you've hit on a different issue. If you've been training and have match play for 1.5 years and made little improvement, I think you either need a new coach, or to get a coach that suits your development. The techniques should not be so specific that changes in equipment render...
  8. China market-only rubbers?

The Chinese market pricing is actually wild. Volant can be found for 30-60RMB if you know the shop owner, or if you're buying other stuff at the same time. But Taobao + GST + shipping etc, it's about 100RMB.
  9. China market-only rubbers?

    Yeah, this monstrosity haha
  10. China market-only rubbers?

It's a lot softer than traditional topsheets. I think it's a bit nicer than the ever popular Double Fish Violant (another great 100RMB option). Not sure, I personally didn't like the Japanese style feeling the RKT Hyperpower went for, so I won't be trying the AMG version. Cuifeng is fun, they...
  11. China market-only rubbers?

Yeah there are heaps. My main rubber is China only, it is the Xuperman Powerplay, I definitely recommend it. If you're just keen on trying something different, I'd recommend getting rubbers in the 100-150RMB range. Just heaps of fun stuff at little cost. E.g. RKT Hyperpower has a new AMG version.
  12. Butterfly Harimoto ZLC Vs Harimoto Super ZLC

It does depend on what rubbers you're using.
  13. DHS RS40+ WTT

Ball is slow and sits up, kinda like the transition from cellulose to the original 40+ balls. Great for slapping, but even less spin on loops.
  14. What blade are you using/used with Short or Mid pips?

    1. Andro VCI : inner helps with FH power and pip stability 2. Nah, in fact it's a good compromise between the two sides. Though I've got a Hugo TMXi in the mail coming so I can report on that later
  15. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

    I think he's back to H3
  16. Similar Butterfly blade to Syntelliac VCI

Harimoto is meant to be similar. And plus they're both larger blade sizes
  17. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

A breath of tackiness. Basically not there haha
  18. Rally Ace by Center Field - JP blade manufacturers. Any experience?

I have the zebra outer. It's supposed to feel quite close to the Ito carbon. I do find it more head heavy than the Ito carbon though, but just as suitable for pips.
  19. What would top players Usatt rating be?

Go to rating central's tab on professional players.
  20. Question for H3 users

Boosting makes it playable. The idea is that hurricane rubbers are varying degrees of brick hard. You choose one that you are able to compress with your stroke. The. The boosting allows for it to provide SOME speed. Hurricane never attempts to win with speed, it's the spin that's magical. In...
