  1. Which top player(s) inspired you to play?

Oh then kneecap. I had issues with that forehand about a month in January. Stairs, especially going down was difficult to say the least. As my class is the third level and have to take stairs, carrying my guitar made it hard on my knees.
  2. Which top player(s) inspired you to play?

Sounds like Kim, Yoo and Ryu.

Kim Taek Soo, Ryu Seung Min, Wang Hao, Xu Xin, Ma Long, Vladimir Samsonow, Timo Boll, Lee Jung Woo, Yoo Nam Kyu, Joo Sae Hyuk.
  4. How many fake left-handers are there?

Well I might be the reverse-born left handed but forced by my grandma to be right handed. So currently ambidextrous, but my handwriting with left hand stuck at 7 year old. I can play left hand ok, but certainly not better than the right.
  5. I'm an intermediate beginner putting together a 0 racket

As a user of both pf4 and double fish volunteers 1 before, go for the volant 1. They are the same price but double fish is more durable. As for what I can see more options for sponge hardness too. Go for 40 degrees FH Volant-1. Backhand maybe 37-38 degrees Volant 2. Note Volant 1 is semi tacky...
  6. Need Forehand Rubber Advice

Take Fastarc G-1 MAX, or H3 boosted. but in my opinion keep to that rubber. Improve the techniques and it should be alright. I want T05 myself lol.
  7. Is Fastarck G-1 FH, Razka Z BH on Thibar Status power wood a good combo?

Go 2.15mm for Fh g-1, 2.00mm for Bh c-1, even for defense I would rather thicker sponge, as it builds better technique. Plus 2.00 mm and above is the norm now.
  8. Medium hard rubber for backhand

As someone using both of those rubbers, just go for fastarc g-1. You can try c-1 if you want softer. S-1 is ok too.
  9. Table tennis culture in non-dominant Asian countries? (NOT China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)

I'm not sure about the hobby thing. My mom's cousin's son plays for the state junior team in Sarawak, East Malaysia. He's very good, and i have been to his training center in the past when I went back to my hometown. There is definitely many levels, so it can't be concluded that it's just...
  10. LK_Tt's Thread with Questions About Equipment

Regular 海夫 should do. Maybe buy a smaller bottle to not waste, due to expiry. It's not like you will glue that much rubbers.
  11. Table tennis culture in non-dominant Asian countries? (NOT China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)

Once when i played at my local CC, Community Club, i saw a young boy about 8-9, Thai, with a coach. The strokes are excellent for his age, and the coach was very harsh on him, but in that kind of hidden love. the coach was reassuring him to improve fast, and when he did backhand flick drills to...
  12. Table tennis culture in non-dominant Asian countries? (NOT China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)

Pickleball also seems much more common now in SG, but noise complaints certainly one of the opposition forces.
  13. Playing Style, can it be changed?

Basically spinny doesn’t always equal slow.
  14. Playing Style, can it be changed?

Yes certainly can be changed. About loops, there certainly is a difference, and when it comes to how spenny it is is relative to the forehand technique, and what the player wants. Ma Long’s forehand loop is skinny yet fast, but very thinly not as skinny to say, Xu Xin. But you can really see the...
  15. General opinions on the jpen yinhe blades.

I used to want to get a 982 after my 988, for the hinoki, but I found the miyabi so it's done. I have to say though that the yinhe 988 is ridiculously fast, and it is faster than my current miyabi. But, after switching to the miyabi, I found it's sweet spot very small. But when you hit a good...
  16. I recorded myself PT 2

I was thinking should I upload a practice video soon. I would appreciate people commenting on my technique on how to improve-so its benefits to all. Like through watching penholdsandros videos its interesting to see how the practice comes about and how it goes along.
  17. I recorded myself PT 2

Nice one @PenHoldSandro So you have a coach! I'm jealous hahaha. I train with my schoolmates about daily after school, 2-3 hours, 3.30 to 5.30 pm. We mostly do forehand rallies and try to put power into the strokes to simulate games. Recently tried improving my rpb by backhand rally but...
  18. Is Fastarck G-1 FH, Razka Z BH on Thibar Status power wood a good combo?

If you often shoot out of the table, I'm actually not sure about fastarc g-1 forehand. Switching to this rubber from a previous sticky chinese rubber i found that the arc was high and better for loop drives. Plus, I found keeping low much more important than before. I'm not sure about rakza z...
