  1. The Backhand

Thank you all! Will be concentrating on the bh training in the upcoming weeks to see what exactly feels better for me. Definitely going to change a bit now that i am gonig to try to use supination and also start with the forearm rather than wrist.
  2. The Backhand

To add to the confusion of what technique to use.. just found this Anyone here uses Ma Long bh? Seems a bit harder to generate topspin with it, but looks better for players staying more on the left side of the table waiting to pivot. If only Truls and Aruna learned this :D
  3. The Backhand

Great stuff everybody! @blahness Regarding 09c vs 05 ---> I was between the two for the BH but my believe is that 09c is more forgiving and gives more control. Much easier on serve receive too. In match situations and pressure moments 09c helps tremendously - much easier to keep the ball on the...
  4. The Backhand

What's your backhand technique? I have been trying using wrist snap, forearm and thumb and index fingers fingers supination and just can't decide for what backhand technique to go for. Regarding the fingers technique --> Ti long explains it well here --> What are the advantages of using the...
  5. Vendor says sticky protection films destroy tacky rubbers.

Hmm.. so am i in the wrong by using the adhesive rubber protect film from butterfly on my 09c? Was recommended by butturfly vendor.. Also used the protection film that came with the rubber itself.. can't imagine that being wrong lol!
  6. Best Rubbers for Harimoto Innerforce Alc

No idea about the marks in the middle, never had that before. But if that's the case with you definitely go for more durable rubber (so def don't get K3 ) .
  7. Best Rubbers for Harimoto Innerforce Alc

Considering this i would advise going with the 09c or any hard semi sticky rubber because they will MAKE you be more active and play harder shots. Flicks are definitely easier with it than they would be with the T05. I am actually thinking this myself - going with 09c on backhand so i start...
  8. what new hybrid rubber?

Surprised you never mentioned 09c as it falls in the category of rubbers you have used. You say you played with rakza z EH and like everything but missing the speed. In that case 09c should be perfect for you - same hardness, same good short play/control but higher speed at the top end.
  9. TTD Team KNOCKOUT Tournament 2023

That doesnt make sense though.. since he is switching sides when smashing. Why would he if he has same rubbers both sides? What is Callum using btw?
  10. Rubbers choice for my playstyle

Will flip my blade for my next session then and will play a few games with it too. I won't be trying to chiquita underspin at all though - only on no spin and topspin serves. Stella i'm now used to those hard dignics rubbers and don't really fancy going softer. My playstyle involves 3rd ball...
  11. Rubbers choice for my playstyle

D09C you do need a lot from your body but that's the case with loops on no spin or underspin balls. Countering topspin is a breeze according to reviews and my experience with it on the forehand. Much easier for me to "guide" the ball from someones topspin to any place on the table. Weird you...
  12. Rubbers choice for my playstyle

Hello. Currently using 09c on fh and D80 on bh on a cybershape carbon. However, thinking of switiching my backhand also to 09c as i really like the control i have with it. I do realize 09c needs power and it's harder to utilize it on the bh. I am a very athletic guy who hits the gym (height...
  13. Stuor long V cybershape vs stuor cybershape alc vs lemuria cybershape alc

This topic might help regarding the question. Never tried any of those myself.
  14. Champions League 2023/2024

Anyone knows where we can watch the matches from the Champions league tournament? It's already in semi-finals stage and seen almost none of it on youtube or anywhere.
  15. WTT Finals Women Nagoya 2023

Chen actually called a timeout with 6 match points in hand to go 3-0 . She must be taking the pi** :D
  16. Butterfly tt shoes sizing?

Exactly this. 1 Size Larger so had to order again 1 size smaller, which is also a size i never wear anymore. In case it's Rifones you are after here is a brilliant guide i wish i found before ordering first time : Link . No idea if its relevant for other butterfly shoes.
  17. Backhand Technique

Found a similar topic in which Blahness has contributed 4 years ago. Thought everyone who found this topic interesting will find that one too ---> Link He mentions he has started applying weight transfer from playing arm foot for the BH, Still doing that, did it take long to adjust?
  18. Backhand Technique

Thank you for the contribution. I actually have 09c on fh and D80 on bh. Looks like better to go for the more flat hitting style then as i really stay very much on the bh side always looking for fh fade when possible or fast brush/loop over the table. Also.. i though stiffer blades and hard...
  19. Backhand Technique

Being a very much forehand oriented player i think it's time i develop my backhand. My level is intermidiate. - I try to loop kill slow underspin balls over the table and also attack every half long ball with the beauty that 09c is. Now comes the question what kind of backhand i want and i am...
  20. Advice for table tennis shoes

Actually socks should be from acrylic in best case scewnario. Cotton is worst. Cotton is probably the most comfy one but when it's hot it's no good. Thorlos max cushion socks for example are made mostly with acrylic and are pretty good for sports but are very pricey..
