  1. Some of my today training footage

I think that you can also work on recovery. After your FH loop, your hand looks like it ends up behind your left ear. Maybe just an illusion. But you seem to take too long to recover. Quicker recovery = more time to prepare for next ball. Using martial arts as a parallel. When you hit someone in...
  2. Some of my today training footage

I guess what I am trying to say is that majority of the time I can see a lot of tension in you and that messes up both body and mind. Harder to focus, harder to loosen up for the next shot. With tension I personally could never get decent consistency :)
  3. Some of my today training footage

When you are doing BH loop. You kind of use the same muscle groups.
  4. Some of my today training footage

No no. Loosen up your whole body. Not only the wrist. I think there are more competent people to explain the "idealistic version of the technique". When I play topspins I use arms and wrist to finish the stroke. Core to start the motion.
  5. Some of my today training footage

Feel you bro. I did spent a couple of years doing karate. Still I benefitted a lot from loosening up and lengthening my stroke. More consistency and less strain on my muscles. I am not jacked like you though. That prolly the difference.
  6. Some of my today training footage

Ave, I am not qualified physician, based on the video (really great picture quality) on FH you are not using much of core I think. I can see forearm tension and shoulders, not so much butt and thighs. (its really easy to see, great musculature)
  7. EmRatThich says learn w/Max thickness, fast rubber?

The thing I like about Ti Long, he always makes demonstrations.
  8. EmRatThich says learn w/Max thickness, fast rubber?

I would say that depends on the learning stage. Level 0: Early stage, mostly hitting the ball, maybe a bit of backspin, no real top spin - Hobby grade 10€ bat Beginner - Intermediate Thin 7 ply, 2.1 mm rubbers not harder than 47.5 degrees, ideally softer for kids. ADvanced ++ - max whatever...

  10. The best way to Sealing/ Vanishing

  11. Bluefire vs Fastarc vs Tenergy

The big issue with that is the perception of rubber changes in regards to your skill. Example from my life: MXP 3 years ago. MXP now:
  12. Bluefire vs Fastarc vs Tenergy

    I have T05, Fastarc, and played with Bluefire for a longer while: Speed T05 > G1 > M1 on spin shots, on flat hits M1 > G1 ~~ T05 Spin T05 > M1 > G1 considering the maximum spin, if you technique is not up to spec I would say M1 > G1 > T05 Easy to play: M1 > G1 > T05 (M1 is the easiest, T05...
  13. Who's your favorite tt retailer?

I bear no loyalty to any retailer. I buy wherever is the cheapest. I mostly use the Inters.pl, just because the guy knows my face. I usually get a small discount.
  14. Which training ball to pick

I also managed to buy a few Neottec Balls and ordered 200 hueison balls to be destroyed by the robot.
  15. The Chinese Domination of Table Tennis!!!

Both Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall played in Bundesliga, I cannot find info if they do leagues right now.
  16. The Chinese Domination of Table Tennis!!!

Most higher level players earn money from private training. That's kind of the issue. I mean its good that they can make a living, but the player development could taper off.
  17. The Chinese Domination of Table Tennis!!!

You might be surprised but there is no English club ATM. https://www.ettu.org/en/events/table-tennis-champions-league-men/history---archive/2022-2023/ I think only Germany and Poland got more than one club in, other than that its pretty diverce.
  18. Using Computer Vision in Table Tennis

I wonder if we can use this to allow users of this forum to submit footage without feeling shame or insecurity. If the ball and table was actually captured, that should be enough to make decent estimations.
  19. Why does womans game focus on BH to BH exchanges?

I've been watching Chen Xingtong vs Chen Meng and majority exchanges were BH to BH. I wonder what is the strategy behind that. Due to the pace of the game there issue to redirect ball down the line?
