  1. The Wikipedia unusual grips

"Alessandro's V Created by V-Grip pioneer Alessandro G..." "This grip improves both offense and defense, and is considered as one of the more innovative grips of modern Table Tennis." I don't see how any of this is credible
  2. Need advice for a allround+ blade with a big handle

P Korbel has kind of a small handle. I think the allwood Primorac is a much more suitable option
  3. Zhang Jike signs with Donic

After Dima jumped ship to Butterfly, Donic has been needing another famous John to put a name back on their own Viscaria clone
  4. Recommend backhand rubber for dhs 301

Sriver is already pretty slow. Have you considered trying the softer siblings Sriver EL or FX?
  5. LP 0.7mm or OX, which is easier to control?

I think it was Chen Weixing that said P1 in 0.5 has the perfect combo for spin manipulation and spin continuation for the celluloid ball, but JSH was playing P1 and Dtecs in 1.6 just for the spin capacity when playing short at the table. But any long pip in 1.6 has almost zero passive reversal...
  6. LP 0.7mm or OX, which is easier to control?

If you have a spare racket you could it both of them on at the same time and see the differences yourself
  7. LP 0.7mm or OX, which is easier to control?

Regular Grass or Grass DTECS? They are very different. Vanilla Grass plays more like a conventional moderate pace and moderate grip lp and Dtecs plays faster flatter and slicker.
  8. LP 0.7mm or OX, which is easier to control?

OX plays more straightforwards. All you have to account for is the bending of the pips. But you also have better grip and cushion with sponge, that means better spin potential when there is less spin on the ball. OX will play more flat which benefits chopblocking, passive blocking and punching...
  9. Tenergy 25. Pro’s and Cons

Koki Niwa was using T25 for a bit on fh. I think it is the best Tenergy for smash and hit, the fast pimple structure makes the trajectory very straightforward and stable. T25FX is also the mildest and easiest Tenergy to use second to T19 imo
  10. Table Tennis racket guesses

Cheap premade racket. Couldn't cost more than 50USD. This looks like kind of a low-tier racket in the grand scheme of premade rackets but you could do a lot worse
  11. New Butterfly Rubber: Proudo44 P.I. (프라우드44 P.I.)

They'll probably only sell it in Japan and Korea, the only two regions that have any major interest in 44mm ball game. Its impossible to find any largeball specific equipment in the US because no one plays it here. I also doubt that 9 out of 10 clubgoers in the US even know about the 44mm ball...
  12. Are new blades more slippery to grip?

You could rough up the handle with some sandpaper or add a single wraparound of grip tape in the middle of the handle
  13. Need help choosing first short pips

Pluto has a softer topsheet but it doesn't spin as well. Easier to hit with though. I'd also check out Butterfly Challenger Attack if you can find it. Its a soft and easygoing rubber that is very versatile
  14. Need help choosing first short pips

Dawei 388C-1 is more of a medium pip but it's a lot easier to chop with vs short pips
  15. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

Infinity just didn't have that same flex feeling as Korbel, but I do think it is good with Hurricane
  16. Alternative to Nittaku PK50 (and 8-80) ?

Gewo Codexx 52 is basically the same rubber, if you can still find it.
  17. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

Infinity is quite stiff and hard for a 5 ply, Korbel is thinner feeling and more flexible
  18. New Stiga Mantra Pro

This is how they come. Just beware of shrinking if you take the rubber off after some usage
  19. A light Chinese rubber with a little catapult and decent spin

iirc this is essentially what the Nittaku Hurricane 3 Pro Turbo Orange is. A very hard G1-style sponge with Hurricane topsheet. I think if Hurricane topsheet had a normal hardness G1 sponge underneath it, it would be too soft for the topsheet for me
