15+16 Padouk-Basalt-Anigre-Kiri-Basalt-Anigre-Anigre 5,4mm, 87g, 1230Hz- the handle again is made of thuja. Although frequencies are rather low its very stiff compared to my blades 8+9.

Hello again, I havent been lazy all the time- so here are some new blades 13+14 (built 2 of these at the same time sharing the same sheets of veneers) Chestnut-Zirbe-Abachi-Chestnut-Abachi-Zirbe-Chestnut. 6,2mm- 1150Hz, 88g and of course the handle shows our national colours ^^ Plays nice in...

  5. Haven't tested this one yet...

@ viper I am wondering how much the handle weights- is it massive? Than it could come in at 40g or more and the 99g of the blade doesnt play as fast as one might think.
  6. Haven't tested this one yet...

As far as I know the black limba comes from a bug living in the tree- its the bugs poo from which the wood is dyed. There is no change in hardness or flexibility between dark and bright limba of the same sheet. Besides this there is a huge variation between different trees/ batches like up to 100%.
  7. Haven't tested this one yet...

Wow, thats extreme sharp seperation. Nicely fit in the axis of symmetry!
  8. Haven't tested this one yet...

Yes thats true! In Germany we say "Kleinod". I like yours, Viper- especially the handle and the jointed top ply! Sorry for capturing your thread, but the composition is so close that I couldnt resist to post mine ^^
  9. Haven't tested this one yet...

I did something similar, but with 93g carbon near the abachi core. Spruce is great! Its 85g, but core is thinner with 2,2mm. Should be all+ speed.
  10. Moon 12 Blue on sale!

My M12 came with a middle zone which looks used despite it had the adhesive cover on. On cybershape its rather 50+ grams and its medium hard. The first time playing was very annoying but now I like it more and more each time I play with it. If it only had a little less weight...
  11. Behold! A Dotec Nittaku Violin!

Those dotecs must be extremely head heavy while beeing very lightweight compared to other blades with similar structure. So the reason must be the handle, right?
  12. Blades that are similar to DHS W968

What about the Xiom Calderano blades- those are supposed to be flexy too. Are they comparable to the w968?

  15. Koto vs Limba surface for inner fibre blade?

Indeed! If you want to have a good replacement or backup for your blade you need patience or better call a blademaker like sdc 😉
  16. Koto vs Limba surface for inner fibre blade?

You cant even come close to a conclusion without knowing the density of the used veneers and all other factors (core, middle layers, type and amount of glue). I have limba sheets of 4 batches from 11g to 17g and koto sheets with 15/16g. The 17g limba is easily harder and less flexy than the koto...
  17. Dignics 09c longevity

Just ordered a sheet for 18€ shipped. Did you boost it?
  18. Using a Blade designed for table tennis - Why isn't everyone making the switch!?

Its black limba-zirbelkiefer-basalt-3mm kiri-okoume-93g pure carbonfiber-cherry (fireland). Zirbelkiefer behaves a bit like spruce, okoume is a bit like abachi but the batch I got is lighter. The cherry is supposed to be quite hard, but the batch I got is very soft and light, id say in between...
