What is the frequency?

There is no debate here. B2 is basically identical to long5. Pro 05 is very different. Pro 05 has a thicker core, feels much denser and stiffer.

With a few of my new blades, I find them very hard to grip. I find that they are almost sliding out of my hand. Are new blades in general somewhat slippery and harder to grip? Is there anything to do to make them easier to grip? (maybe use a wet towel on the handle?)

I think Double Fish Volant Phoenix might just be the best unboosted alternative to LAC. Oldies but goodies Jupiter 3 and Big Dipper are good of course.

What new blade are you getting?

I was hoping the Stuor Harimoto alc would be about 1400 frequency, but looking at the frequency spreadsheet, it seems most of the Harimoto blades are between 1330-1350...so I guess it makes sense.

I have many Sanwei blades. All of them are simply excellent.

I'm pretty new to the frequency testing thing, but in my experience, I find that it actually does tell you quite a lot. I find that my favorite blades are in the 1400-1450 range. I like that extra bit of snappiness without feeling too bricky. I also find that you can't really compare...

I think topend power of Rxton 9 is higher than LAC. LAC has more rebound and easier access to speed.

2 more blades arrived today, long5 clone and harimoto alc clone. Unfortunately the frequency is lower than I hoped for, 1270 and 1330 respectively.

For Blade, I recommend Sanwei CC. GD5 is softer and easier to activate than Moon 12. For lower level players, it is a good choice. Moon 12 is harder and denser, and has more gears if you are hitting hard. GD9 I have never tried...but it doesn't seem that good to me. Hurricane8 and 9 are...

Moon 12 is similar to Big Dipper, except with a grippy topsheet. Totally non-tacky. It has good speed, and a pretty stable feeling. Telson is similar to AK47 red. If you want a slower rubber, you might try Moon Speed

I would recommend either AK47 Red, Moon 12, or Telson 100 for bh. All are quite bouncy, good for punching and blocking.
