  1. First setup for basement player

the rubbers and blade should be fine. you just need to get used to it, DNA and VPS would probably be unwise if anything you could give the racket to your kid, who'll be getting coaching so he should be fine. then get yourself something slower, a pair of Loki Rxton 1 should do the trick, or any...

@Tony's Table Tennis when asked about the GOAT.
  3. Hobby Player by Aruna Quadri

Dan and the Team could get their own signature blades 🤣
  4. Penhold Blade for Shakehand? / Should I switch to Shakehand ?

just got my Cpen blade right now, if you have a pretty small hand width, Shakehand should be doable on a cpen. just maybe a bit weird on the weight distribution but decent enough to try

    GEWO OB Series soon?
  6. joke..

still baffles me why Stiga just didn't release a Viscaria clone like everyone else
  7. Penhold Blade for Shakehand? / Should I switch to Shakehand ?

you probably wont enjoy playing Shakehand with a cpen blade. what you could do is get a cheap ST or FL blade and see if you like the way it feels, something like the Sanwei T5000 should suffice for this experiment. if you like it enough, sell your harimoto and buy a Shakehand version. so you...

XVT Ebenholz 7 ST Sanwei Target Soft DHS Hurricane 3 NEO 39° Haifu Seamoon (Yellow Normal ver.) I finally gave in and got H3 and booster to find out if the hype is real. or if i should've just gotten the LAC
  9. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

is the Telson 100 a baby G1? firm topsheet etc. if the sponge doesnt disintigrate with one removal, then it blows the similarly priced Sanwei Gear Hyper out of the water.
  10. Best rubbers under $10??

Old Version, Sanwei Target Commercial haven't tried the New basic version (Target Pro 3) but that one is cheap too.
  11. Recommendation for, slightly slower, long lasting Rubbers

I second the Sanwei Gear Hyper (i suggest at 38 or 39, 37 just feels too soft for me and bottoms out) Very linear and easy to use, very good spin and control.
  12. Post your latest EJ purchase

my copy is the same, glue residue, fraying ALC, uneven badge. still plays great though. i hope the re release it with better finishing (i think they already did with the Hynover)
  13. Care for blades and rubbers

you could try XVT or Nittaku sleeve type protector, so you don't have worry if they stick or not
  14. Care for blades and rubbers

was the cover sticky when you first got it? anyways, it's probably fine and your rubber sill be fine too. it's probably more to do so with the protective sheet rather than your vega.
  15. Sanwei on AliExpress?

    Sanwei Vita / Vita Pro
  16. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

does sealing the handle with LSO make it feel plasticky? bought a 2nd hand blade with the handle sealed with varnish and it felt awful.
  17. Care for blades and rubbers

you might've slapped it on when the rubber wasn't fully dry or got dust in it.
  18. Care for blades and rubbers

Vega Europe isnt and shouldn't be tacky. cleaning with water is the best way, as long as you let it dry properly. your protector should be the tacky one.
  19. I messed up!

I've used worse and barely felt the difference, unless its a large hole in the middle, it shouldn't be too bad.
