  1. United States Smash 2026, Los Angeles, 6/26-7/5

Harimoto was really good when he started. But for so many years, he has not really achieved much in big tournaments, and I think it will get harder when he ages. Mizutani gained most fames among modern japanese table tennis, although I will not keep citing what he said.
  2. United States Smash 2026, Los Angeles, 6/26-7/5

I think we will probably see quite some upsets today.
  3. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Agree and disagree. Table tennis is so dynamic and it is not easy to say only one way is correct. Understanding how the physics of movement works is most important. Of course, for beginners, aiming at sweet sport is very important because it will ensure the strikes are not too wrong.
  4. United States Smash 2026, Los Angeles, 6/26-7/5

Did you really need to cite so many stuffs to prove/pursade anything at all? :)

Non-sweet spot is less bouncy and can hold the ball longer. But if you need speed, then the sweet spot at the center is definitely the choice.
  6. United States Smash 2026, Los Angeles, 6/26-7/5

Qualification round draws were not out yet. Weird.
  7. Best budget rubber for BH?

I did not find it react well to boosters. But even without being boosted, Rxton 1 feels quite stable and consistent if you can use your power and body to play. It won't do anything surprising you.
  8. Best budget rubber for BH?

And it is the cheapest you can get for about $5
  9. Best budget rubber for BH?

If you do not rely heavily on speed, Loki Rxton 1 is pretty decent on backhand.
  10. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

It is the second final for ZYL. I think she choked a little at game 4 when she was 2:1 and leading 8:4 against Hayata. It would be totally different match if she could win that game. For her age, it is not easy to play to the 7th and keep the level.

Her right hand blocking the serves?
  12. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

Did Hina Hayata hide her serves? It looks like even ZYL had trouble returning her serves. And Miwa had problems returning too.

  14. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

Does she play like a female/(or lighter version) of WRB? First time paying attention to this player. She played with so wide angles, good mentality (for now)... That forehand slow spinny loop and backhand flip are good. Will follow her more in the future.
  15. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

If she can win this tournament after all other CNT players lose, she will get many more chances to play in the future for sure. But CNT never picks a player based on a tournament even a WTTC win.
  16. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

LSD seemed to modify his technique to stay close to the table but his short balls were no near to FZD or ML. And the worst part was that he did not prepare to defend after the pushes. Overall, It is a critical moment for LSD. But most people were disappointed at him already.
  17. WTT Contender Zagreb 2026 June 9-14

You might be. Underestimating ZYL can be deadly, don't ask me why I know... :)
  18. WTT Contender Zagreb 2026 June 9-14

Hasn't he been consistently unstable all the time? I think he was PUAed hugely by Wang Hao. Wang Hao couldn't hide his dislike of XP no matter how hard he had tried.
  19. Rate me in USATT/Chinese rating. I want to know the numbers :)

I understand that hightlights do not show every aspect of the player. But his serve, receive, forehand and backhand loop are all pretty decent. His technique does not look like usatt 2200+, but not 1800- either
