  1. A guide to buying and choosing table tennis equipment from an Intermediate player and EJ

@UpSideDownCarl I agree that everyone is different and that’s why this is aimed to be a guide for people who aren’t familiar with all the different hardnesses and types of rubber. And this is not just based on my personal experience, but a lot of my club mates, my university team, and even...
  2. A guide to buying and choosing table tennis equipment from an Intermediate player and EJ

Like i said in my review this is mainly a guide for those first building a racket based on what the majority of people i see use and experience on what i think is best for intermediate players but of course other people can use different rubbers if they feel that’s what they play best with

  4. A guide to buying and choosing table tennis equipment from an Intermediate player and EJ

Lmao well for FH you need a 50-53 ESN rubber but for BH 45-50 ESN is the best

but ALC is the softer more flexible fiber providing good arc and spin compared to the pingy stiffer ZLC
  6. A guide to buying and choosing table tennis equipment from an Intermediate player and EJ

Happy New Year everybody! Hope everyone reaches their goals, table tennis or not, for this year. I know what mine is already: stick to my current setup for the whole year! Nonetheless, since I bought my first “professional” setup in April 2023, I probably spent nearly $1000 CAD in blades and...

Yeah then I’d say try the 40 I think you may like it better.

40 has more power when you hit hard and is also less bouncy in the short game. Also, having 40 is better for boosting with 2 layers because you don’t want the sponge to get too soft and mushy. I use 40 always considering even going to 41, and i try 39 before but felt like it lacked power

Both those rubbers work really well on BH, but what I like more abt D05 is the blocking and durability. So Id stick to D05 if you want to save money. If you boost H3N, I say 40 or 41 deg otherwise use 39 for easier activation of power
  10. Top disappointments of the year (2024)

As I said, she failed to guarantee an all China Japan Podium. You could also do she came back for nothing so there’s a huge disappointment thete
  11. Top disappointments of the year (2024)

But that’s the thing. Hirano missed out on an all China Japan Top 4. Or you could say she failed to guarantee an all China Japan podium
  12. Top disappointments of the year (2024)

Good ones. Could also add Feraji vs Lin Shidong in Asian Championships
  13. Top disappointments of the year (2024)

It is definitely a disappointment but not necessarily an upset, like the ML-LGY match, SYB-Hirano match or the Tsao-Jha match.
  14. Top disappointments of the year (2024)

Merry Christmas TableTennisDaily and all the forum members! The year is almost over, and what a year for table tennis 2024 was. Loads of great moments took place this year, but also a lot of disappointments, whether it be a terrible 3-0 loss or a big lead choke. Here are a few of my notable...
  15. Looking for best backhand 47.5 / 48 rubber for SALC

No worries. It’s relatively cheap, easy to use, and fast and spinny. If you are worried for control, get the 2.0mm thick one, otherwise get max. I got 2.0 bc I’m coming from H3 on BH so I will progress to max thickness later once I adjust but 2.0mm still gives fantastic spin and speed for its...
  16. Looking for best backhand 47.5 / 48 rubber for SALC

I think Xiom Omega 7 Pro is wonderful for BH. Lots of pro players still use it

    Is Nina Mittelham still in?
  18. Xiom Cho Daeseong TMX Pro Review

I’m gonna use it as my main blade because I sold my acB to a friend. I’m not sure how to measure frequency. Can you do it with rubbers attached?
  19. Xiom Cho Daeseong TMX Pro Review

Who knows with my EJ? 🤣
  20. Cho Daeseong TMX Pro

Review by 'joshmak10' on item 'Cho Daeseong TMX Pro'

I bought a Cho Daeseong TMX blade from Xiom. This is an outer carbon blade with a top ply of Koto and the TMX Carbon (ALC-ZLC-X Carbon combined). My blade weighs 84g. Im really excited to have this blade because as many of you know or not know, Cho Daeseong is my favourite player and I think his...
