  1. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

Whatever it is, don't you think the chit chat thread would be better for that? This goes to anyone else who will feel need to comment.
  2. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Due to @doraemon and @Gjayesh request.
  3. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

They're not on-topic. But I'll gladly show them. I'll throw them onto the chit-chat thread: I don't have time to PM everyone.
  4. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

Ah, now I understand. You've missed a few videos I've posted a few months ago. I was under the impression that you were talking about those. Anyway, send me a PM if you really care to see them. I'm not posting them here.

Yesterday I hit with a nearly complete beginner friend of mine for a few hours. I gave him some basic drills to do and we did some basic rallying. After a lot of stance and stroke adjustment, he managed to hit 4 forehand counterhits in a row to a pretty consistent placement. His serving and...
  6. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

@doraemon My apologies your highness. For future videos I will conform to your completely vague standards of what is legitimate and what is not so that your justified and totally not completely irrelevant criticism shall not strike upon me. @RidTheKid You don't need to post any...
  7. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

@RidTheKid So you've produced a good percentage of your maximum power already, and by applying tips from a video, you've increased it noticeably more from there? We're gonna need some playing level proof for this one. Otherwise you're just talking silly things.
  8. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

@Suga D I'm not hating at all. I watch all of EmRat's videos and I'd rather he keeps posting them. I was really surprised when I saw him here and I welcome him. You don't need to attribute negative things to me whenever I disagree with you. I just want EmRat to post some video of himself, so...

Yecats, Lefties play right handed people all the time, but right handed people don't play lefties as much. Right handed people need to adopt a different strategy and hit into different spins against lefties, but when a leftie plays a leftie, it's basically just mirrored. I would believe there...

@TTFrenzy I would have to disagree. There's a difference between concrete, real knowledge, and abstract knowledge. Even LGL with his "pathetic" rally skills knows a hell of a lot about rallying and he can perform it at a very high level as well. He doesn't have 3/10 execution. Let's take...

I think practicing my serve so much (Well, except lately!) has also improved my game overall, as the serve returns I get from my heavy serves are usually loaded as well, much more than I would normally get. I've slid across serve return chops because the backspin slowed it down enough, and other...
  12. Crazy skill by young Japanese kids!

This is indeed very difficult. Not at all as easy as it looks.
  13. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Ah, I just associated side/under with a grazing on the side as well. Why does grazing with side/back help keep the ball short, if you're grazing along the spin axis?
  14. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I can remember a recent table tennis instruction video released on YouTube, I can't find it sadly, talked about that. Impacting on the side with sidespin when keeping the ball short. I guess this is the spin avoidance that has been talked out.
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

@UpSideDownCarl Maybe so. I doubt anyone I've played can generate really high level backspin, so I'm just going to leave it as it is. However, the thread hasn't turned into a debate about me at all: you're the one talking about me. We're talking about peoples' terminology in table tennis. I...

Do you think you could manage it against lighter spin?
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Oh man, we're really getting into terminology hell here. :p I know what you mean with flip, now. Isn't that possible just because backspin will kick off the paddle, adding speed to the ball? So in a way you're aiming the arc of the ball with your racket angle. You've never done that?
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Alright, thanks. I can see the spin on the chop, definitely. For the speed of the ball its A LOT. I think we're on the same page on that. You called the forehand shot a flip? That's interesting. What does a flip mean to you? To me, a forehand flip is an over the table shot, like you would use...
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

If the ball was no-spin or just very light spin nearing no-spin, what about then? Ah, just in time. I'm looking at matches on YouTube and I saw this. What is the forehand shot at 33 seconds? A loop or a drive? There's a bit of spin from the brush contact and the side/back that she hit...
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I'm not that crazy. ;) I can accept my terminology is wrong, because someone here doesn't understand what the other is saying. I could just be saying stupid things. For now I'm personally curious as to what a topspin shot with a slow brushing motion is. The contact is the way you would...
