  1. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

It seems to be quite new this rubber. https://www.stigasports.com/eu/dna-dragon-grip-55-table-tennis-rubber-black Perhaps somewhere like Rakza Z Hard or Dignics 09c?
  2. Why did rubber curl inward?

Probably the old glue expanded the sponge at the glueing moment, and now the effect have vanished, making the sponge shrink compared to the top sheet. Do you have any name or ITTF number on the rubber?
  3. Started Playing Again after 40+ years - What bat ?

I'm on Lula's side here. Why go wild and crazy with expensive Butterfly gear when you don't know what fits you at this day and age. Go for something like The Stiga Offensive Classic or the more light weight Stiga Energy Wood WRB with a couple of allround/offensive rubbers like Rakza 7. You could...
  4. Soft vs Hard Rubbers

Yep. This is my belief too. The T11+ is the fastest i've played with, and it was difficult in many ways. I use the dhs pg5x mainly now. Not too fast inner alc blade. It works great with h3n.
  5. Please advise if there is a cheap Chinese rubber for competition?

DHS Hurricane 3 NEO and Yinhe Big Dipper (first version) is the best buy for the buck in my opinion, if you aim cheap.
  6. Dhs h8-80

Ok. Well, I'm looking for the kick that I didn't fully got from TAU II. It's there in a boosted H3 41deg, but I'm always keen on trying new stuff in this area of rubbers, so we'll see :)
  7. Dhs h8-80

Great. Thank you :) I'll go for the 38...
  8. Dhs h8-80

I play with a boosted H3 41 deg on forehand now. If you have tried this, could you compare to the H8-80? I'm thinking of sponge hardness. Does it feel softer? The TAU II on the other hand is very close to what I like best on my forehand... :)
  9. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

Yes. And then you have to add impact speed and angle to this. If you hit Chinese style with a Tenergy, you'll just get angry if you're used to H3. :)
  10. Chinese Rubber=No Catapult : Wrong????

I have used them both and STN is kind of dead and heavy compared to H3N (41 deg). And if I use H3, I use the 41 deg and boost it a bit. Genesis I haven't tried. I have played a guy a couple of times that have Genesis on both sides, and he doesn't play Chinese style, but it gives a lot of spin...
  11. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

Yeah. I played a tournament in a hall that became very moist over the day, and what felt nice in the morning became a nightmare in the afternoon. Try to brush loop with a hard sponged anti rubber :D
  12. Does tacky rubber slow down improvement?

I have played with Chinese rubbers similar to DHS H3N the laste five years now. What I have found out is that you can benefit more from these rubbers more if your technique is better.I have never played with any Provincial or National H3, only commercial versions. I feel that it's my technique...
  13. Need Help Choosing First Custom Racket

Like Der_Echte writes. After playing one year, perhaps you have started to figure out the way you like to play this game, or what style fits you the best. So, we had a "private" message conversation about this a while ago, and when you come from a $10 pre-made racket, everything else is a more...
  14. DHS pg6x, pg3t, 301t, pg5x, 301 and 506 x what are the differences?

The PG5X ALC blade is very nice. I'm playing it with DHS H3 41deg and Yinhe Big Dipper 38deg, both boosted with Haifu Seamoon booster. It's not too fast, and gives me good control in the looping and short game. But never played any real matches with it so far because of Covid....
  15. Need Help Choosing First Custom Racket

I can't find your premade racket specifications anywhere. But it could be a little overkill to go with this setup after playing about a year. What exactly do you play with now?
  16. Revolution nr. 3 how many layers? Will it stick?

Bigger pores and boosted, domed rubber could need more layers, but normally 1 on blade and 2 on rubber...
  17. Loki Rubbers

Now I have tried out LOKI Arthur Europe and LOKI T3 as well. This is as you see, not a grand review, but anyway some small info about these rubbers. Arthur Europe is a bit strange. Quite tacky and you have to hit hard to engage the sponge. Then you'll get good speed and spin. Short game and...
  18. Palio hk 1997 gold

I have never received a fake H3N. Perhaps if you order a Provincial or National version, there could be a risk because there's money to earn for unserious retailers? Go for the commercial version for about $15-$20 if you want to play safe. Try these. http://ttnpp.com/store/...
  19. Palio hk 1997 gold

I've played with the Sanwei Target National. I was looking to replace my DHS H3N 41deg. STN was heavy (about 56g when cut to normal blade). The sponge and top sheet was very hard, så it was quite easy for my opponent returning my loops compared to with H3N. I wouldn't buy it again...
  20. Palio hk 1997 gold

The harder you work, the better you play :) . You reap what you sow.
