  1. Win a Ovtcharov ALC

Dan takes it by a hair, 12-10
  2. Hinoki blades with Chinese rubbers?

This just sounds like some of the downfalls of Chinese rubbers in general. Have you used H3 on many other blades?
  3. Paddles with vibrations

All rackets will vibrate. Do you want more or less?
  4. Scarfed Garchomp

  5. Short pip

Are these 'opinions' in the room with us right now?
  6. New Stiga Mantra Pro

At least from photos, to my eyes, Mantra Pro looks very similar in topsheet texture and sponge porosity to Calibra Tour and Airoc series rubbers, which are both from Daiki
  7. Best rubber for the backhand

The best one is the one you have played the most with
  8. Colestt.com

    Where is it unavailable?
  9. Do any pro players out there use one ply blades?

Achanta Sharath Kamal used the H-3-9 at one point. I think that pros outside of single sided penholders do not really need or prefer the sheer stiffness provided by such a thick blade, as it seems like seldom do pros ever use a blade exceeding 7mm especially when it comes to composite fiber.
  10. Flat hitter

DHS Hurricane 2 Neo, low and dangerous arc, but not the most forgiving.
  11. how to quickly remove stickiness from the rubber?

Red is harder and crisper, feels much better than Yellow.
  12. Sticky rubbers durability

729 FX is a dinosaur rubber, and I think it could survive a nuclear fallout and stick play decently. It does tend to lose a bit of stick if you don't play with it, but if you take care of it it should last quite a while in my experience
  13. Donic Baracuda purple

Only thing I have seen about purple Baracuda is on a single Chinese website. I have also only been able to find Baracuda in blue color on Euro shops like TT11 and Dandoy
  14. ? ? BTY Viscaria price increased massively

Here in the US just going off prices from shop.butterflyonline, Viscaria has been the same price as most other standard ALC blades ($185) for a while. I think the only cheaper ALC blades here are really the TBS ($135) and the IFALC ($165). At the moment there seems to be a 10% discount on a...
  15. Nittaku Fastarc C1 vs Andro Hexer Grip

Hexer Grip is pretty decently boosted from the factory, I don't think C1 is boosted. My experience has been that C1 felt harder and has a crisper, more direct feeling, whereas Hexer Grip had a stronger sensation of the ball sinking into and shooting out of the rubber especially on soft contact...
  16. Who invented Ping Pong?

Using quick Google searches, the sport is called takkyū in Japan, taggu in Korean, and bóng bàn in Vietnamese. So to blame "most of far east" seems like an easy position to take in order to blame an entire demographic
  17. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Palio CK531A, Bomb Talent are both cheap long pips that give good spin passing. Get them with 0.5 sponge if you want an easier time gluing them with liquid glue, because the base sheets are very thin, otherwise application with a gluesheet is much easier. Yinhe Pluto and Dawei 388C-1 are a cheap...
  18. Is there a big difference between Boll Spirit Vs Boll ALC

Been a while since I hit with either but I think the biggest difference is that the TBALC has a considerably larger handle, and feels more balanced with heavier rubbers.
  19. Why does my V-14 Pro feel so heavy?

My point is that the headsize discrepancy between DHS blades and Yinhe blades is basically negligible. My DHS blades measure just about the same as my Yinhe blades
  20. Blade edge pinches middle finger on BH

I second this, arylate/aramid needs to either be cut with a knife, or sanded with a power tool or very hard sanding block in the direction of the carbon layer, otherwise it will not be removed at the same rate as the wood and carbon.
