  1. Butterfly FZD ALC - first impressions.

You’ve spent the money now, so given the advantages you state then why go back to a clone?
  2. Butterfly FZD ALC - first impressions.

By way of follow up on this blade - I have been alternating between this and my HL5 using the same rubbers (K3 / R7) and have found that the FZD consistently seems to offer me more stability and balance throughout my game and in competitive matchplay. It is no doubt very similar to my Viscaria...

He’s using his new blade at world team champs

  5. Hammond Z2

My first real bat was a Stiga Hans Alser with NIttaku carbon soft on one side and Yasaka Tornado on the other - both in bright orange! I always felt carbon soft was a fast rubber back then, which just goes to show how things have changed...
  6. FH rubbers suggestions

I’m surprised to hear that you lack spin with K3 - of all the hybrids I have tried it is the most spinny. Anotther maybe worth trying is Rasanter C53 but I find this harder to control than K3.
  7. For sale - Hurricane rubbers various

Sent you a PM - just want to make sure you get it.
  8. World Team Table Tennis Championships-2022

A shame we had such an imbalance in the team - as has been said Drinkhall + Jarvis alongside Pitch would have likely impacted our progress through to quarters..
  9. Hybrid rubbers how close to Tacky Chinese or Grippy ESN spring sponge?

Just to offer some balance on this - I have two sheets of K3 in use and one is 3 months old and well used and is showing no meaningful signs of age or performance drop off.
  10. For sale - Hurricane rubbers various

Yes - the Nittaku H3 has gone but I have the rest. Sizes may very slightly but they have been on either a HL5 or a Viscaria. If you have your eye on any then let me know which and I will give you a combined price and can also measure those you are keen on. Feel free to PM me and I will send you...
  11. Are Drinkhall and Jarvis injured ?

We certainly missed Paul and Tom today..
  12. Viscaria for a beginner

I agree - I would not describe it as a stiff blade. It may be crisp and direct, but not stiff. I find it good at generating spin and is manageable from a speed perspective if not paired with super fast rubbers.
  13. Are Drinkhall and Jarvis injured ?

I also wondered that - not sure what’s happened.
  14. Relaxing when playing TT & breathing

This is a great observation - makes complete sense. I know that for me, tension in playing matches is a real problem and I will tighten up mostly across my shoulders and arms/wrists and become less and less likely to complete my shot as intended. This can happen either if I am winning and...
  15. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05-FX - Which one is faster?

I have used both on my BH and can confirm that Dignics has a higher top speed in my opinion but requires more force to reach it
  16. Dignics 05 vs Tenergy 05-FX - Which one is faster?

Dignics is much faster than T05fx but may not feel as bouncy - it’s much harder at around 50 deg.
  17. Forehand contact point
